  1. You know TSYOUNG and SEMPERFIFALCON, most of our comments on here are in good fun. Some take it farther than needed sometimes but in the end, the game is settled for us. We have no bearing on the outcome of any game to a certain extent. However I will say this, this district is highly competative, hardnosed, and somewhat up in question every year. Ashame it will be shaken up a little. Regardless who wins the district, it could all change come playoffs. I will stick to my opinion though, whoever wins this district will win Class 2A State Title. I firmly believe that and until proven otherwise, I will continue to support it.
  2. Next week and the week after, all of Tompkinsville will be brought back down to earth )
  3. Its okay TSYOUNG, I can take it because in the end, I'll get the last laugh
  4. 7: Holmes 5: Bishop Brossart 3: Simon Kenton 2: Boone County 1: Campbell County TB: Holmes
  5. 7: Oldham County 5: Henry County 3: Bethlehem 2: Western Hills 1: Larue County TB: Oldham County
  6. 7: Allen County - Scottsville 5: Russell County 3: Madisonville - North Hopkins 2: Marshall County 1: Muhlenberg County TB: Russell County
  7. 7: Johnson Central 5: Paintsville 3: Williamsburg 2: Magoffin County 1: Fairview TB: Johnson Central
  8. 5: Johnson Central 3: Knox Central 3: Wayne County 1: Fairview 1: Nelson County 1: Lafayette 1: Marshall County 1: Pulaski County 1: Oldham County 1: Boone County TB: 66
  9. If we had a little more "time" it might have been different. Hahahaha...Ifs, Buts, Candy, and Nuts...we'd all have a Merry Christmas !!!
  10. Bottom Line is Green County 20, Lone Oak 17. I won't guarantee anything. All I am doing is backing up what I said 3 weeks ago when I said Monroe will start 6-0 only to finish 6-4. Take that as you may.
  11. Semperfifalcon, its comments like yours that fuel the fire between Green and Monroe. You can't ever give credit where credit is due. Its something always negative from you when it comes to the Green Co program. It really gets old !!! The facts are that the kids are kids and they are coming together and you will get your shot in two weeks. In the end, you will eat your words. This team is coming together just right and the fact is that the guys outplayed Lone Oak, fought like Warriors, and simply wanted it more. All i can say is enjoy what you ha e in Tompkinsville because the boat is beginning to rock. Losing to FrAnklin Simpson, will lose to Glasgow, and YES you will lose to Green and ACS. 6-4 will be your final record and the future is looking pretty grim for Falcon football. Now I repect your program, always have and always will but you should keep your hatred towards us to yourself because you are hurting noone but our kids, your community, and overall yourself. Makes you look selfish !!! Good Luck to you the rest of the year, you will need it !!!
  12. Be afraid, Be Very afraid...haha, just kidding. However Green Co. approaches tonights game very well prepared and played lights out defense against a very good Lone Oak team. Holding the Purple Flash scoreless in the second half when the time of possession was probably 2-1 in favor of Lone Oak. Don't sell the kids from Green County short, the are coming together at the right time. Losing a heartbreaker at Glasgow and then to respond tonight the way they did, sends fear across Class 2A, District 3. Monroe County finally gets to the meat of their schedule and need a few games to really workout the kinks. This is a good team so they will either respond next week or fold their tents. None of their games from here on out are easy. Looking forward to seeing the Falcons and Dragons go at it in a couple weeks. A bitter sweet rivalry that looks like is going to be separated by the new Class and District alignments.
  13. Plain and simple...sour grapes or not...Lone Oak was held scoreless in the second half and the kids from Green County came together and outplayed the guys from Lone Oak. This team is coming together at the right time so don't sell them out...I would not want to play the Dragons right now.
  14. I agree that its a shame that these two teams have to travel this far to play one another. Don't get me wrong, I know the Dragon program likes to play good competition and Lone Oak is that. However, there are 4-5 teams around the area of Green County that will not play the Dragons. Some of these schools play them in everything but football. Just not right !!! With the cost to travel these days, neither Lone Oak or Green County should have to take a 3 1/2 - 4 hour bus ride just to fill a schedule. The KHSAA or KFBCA should step in and at least have some type of say in matters like this.
  15. I have seen Bethlehem play on film against Campbellsville (Bethlehem won 7-6) and I am sorry but Washington County wins this one handily. The Commanders have to be a pretty good team to go to Marion County and win. I feel that Class 1A is not as strong as years past and everyone is playing second hand to Mayfield. The Banshees are not a Top #10 team. Campbellsville should have beaten them and the Eagles are not very good. So with all that being an opinion, I will take Washington Co. 38, Bethlehem 7
  16. I have seen Bell County play up close and personal but have not seen Knox play. Therefore my opinion is solely based on that fact. I feel Bell is a team destined to win another 4A State Title and I understand that Knox is very much improved. If feel that Bell is just too good to lose this game and Knox hasn't played another contender like Bell. With that being said, I believe Davenport has a good game for Bell and they settle all discussion. Bell County 35, Knox Central 20
  17. Will the 3 1/2 to 4 hour bus ride to Greensburg play a factor into this game?
  18. YES it did sting a little However, the Falcons must not overlook Franklin-Simpson. They have speed and have lost their games to fairly good teams. Keep them on their toes and represent our District !!!
  19. Lone Oak will take the 4 hour bus ride to Green County this Friday to take on the Dragons. Last season the Dragons traveled to the Graveyard and struck first only to be handed a 52-20 loss. What are the predictions this season?
  20. 7: Monroe County 5: Greenwood 3: Caldwell County 2: Edmonson County 1: Todd Co. Central TB: Greenwood
  21. 7: Letcher Co. Central 5: Rowan County 3: Powell County 2: Hazard 1: Boyd County TB: Rowan County
  22. I think Glasgow wins this one handily. I witness the athleticism of the Scotties last week and believe they are much better than a BGP #9 ranking. They escaped a one point win over Green County in a classic high school battle. Was a great game for the fans and players. The district Glasgow is in is really tough; therefore I say Scotties 34, Etown 13
  23. 7: Scott 5: Boone County 3: Brossart 2: (Lou.) Holy Cross 1: Eminence TB: Boone County
  24. 7: South Oldham 5: Central Hardin 3: Jeffersontown 2: DeSales 1: Eminence TB: South Oldham
  25. 7: Washington County 5: Jeffersontown 3: Tates Creek 2: Wayne County 1: Grant County TB: Washington County
