  1. I must say that GC does a good job at not planning ahead. They take one game at a time. Not much thought in the Falcons has been given but you can bet on Sunday, they will get total focus.
  2. When it all comes down to it, Coaches will coach but in all honesty...a coach is as good as his players. A coach can prepare, scheme, and make calls at certain times but its up to the players to execute. IMO, all the coaches in this District are good coaches, to think otherwise is a obvious slap in the face to the others. If this wasn't the case, then this District wouldn't be as solid as it is year after year.
  3. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Fort Knox is much improved over last season. TSYoung is correct in saying that each game they have played has been hard fought and many times down to the fourth quarter. If Danville turns the ball over, they can put themselves in a tough position. Overall, Danville is more athletic but Fort Knox will counter that with some heart. I feel Danville will win this game 42-21 but would love to see the upset. I have to give a shout out to my powerlifting buddies over at Knox....#2, #3, #7, #55....I will be one of the first ones to congratulate you if you battle and pull off the upset. A win like this could be the turning point of an improving program.
  4. 7: Pineville 5: Bath County 3: Paintsville 2: Belfry 1: Perry County Central TB: Pineville
  5. 7: Murray 5: Central Hardin 3: Graves County 2: Warren Central 1: Glasgow TB: Warren Central
  6. Fort Knox is much improved with the addition of a few players from last year. However, Danville is athletically a little better. With that being said, I will go with the ADs in this one 42-21
  7. Which ever teams defense shows up will be the deciding factor in this one.
  8. Game Facts: Green County continues to improve week by week and coming off a win over Lone Oak and an Open week to prepare. The Dragons have really opened up the offense this season with three very good backs. This game is part of a very tough Class 2A District 3. Defensively they continue to improve up front and played an excellent game against the Purple Flash. Metcalfe County is trying to improve each week in a very tough district. The Hornets are descent in size and have a good player in Matt Blythe. This use to be a heated rivalry game for the Hornets but has lost some of its luster due to the lopsided victories the past couple years. Metcalfe is young in some positions and will be tested early and often. Last 5 meetings between the two teams: 2009: Green 39, Metcalfe 14 2008: Green 70, Metcalfe 0 2007 Playoffs: Metcalfe 41, Green 14 2007 Season: Green 32, Metcalfe 24 2006: Metcalfe 20, Green 0
  9. I have to agree with AverageJoesGym, this Taylor County team is by far the worst I've witness this season. Having a tough time under a new head coach. System change, young players, loss of players, all leads to a downfall season. I feel Garrard will have no trouble in this contest. Garrard Co.52, Taylor Co. 14
  10. Williamsburg stakes claim to this Districts title by defeating the rival Lynn Camp, 35-13
  11. In that case, I will have to give a HUGE edge to LCA. They are big and experienced in the trenches. LCA 42, Raceland 21
  12. In my opinion, they all stay undefeated. If there is a chance of someone being knocked off, I would have to go with Greenwood over Central Hardin.
  13. BillWilliams70, I too agree with you. The Falcons will not lose this game as well. I think Hancock Co. is much better than Todd County Central but not enough to pull the upset. I will stick with my predictions of 42-20 Ft. Campbell rolls.
  14. Somerset will continue to ROLL BIG TIME...Briarjumpers by 40
  15. Washington County will roll in this one 35-0. Setting up the district battle with Danville !!!
  16. Fort Campbell wins another district battle. I feel this game will be closer than last weeks; however, the Falcons still roll 42-20
  17. 7: Oldham County 5: Newport 3: Bellevue 2: Campbell County 1: Carroll County TB: Oldham County
  18. 5: Warren Central 3: Edmonson County 3: Lexington Christian 1: Tates Creek 1: Ballard 1: Mason County 1: Graves County 1: Lawrence County 1: Ashland Blazer 1: Beechwood TB: 68
  19. 7: Pleasure Ridge Park 5: St. Xavier 3: DeSales 2: South Oldham 1: Carroll County TB: Pleasure Ridge Park
  20. 7: Lexington Christian 5: Mercer County 3: Lexington Catholic 2: Tates Creek 1: South Oldham TB: Lexington Christian
  21. I believe he was injured (concussion) at the beginning of the season but has since returned for the past 3 games against Green County, Etown, and Webster County. Very good player !!!
  22. Very interesting game that I will play close attention too. Monroe comes off of a OPEN week and able to heal up and prepare for the Scotties. The Scotties come off a blow out game versus Webster County and seem to really be clicking with Cash back at quarterback. The Scotties are very athletic offensively and trying to find themselves defensively. This will be Monroe's first major test in a very tough Class 2A District 3. I feel this will be a very close game and I have to give the slight edge to the Scotties due to home field advantage. Game could go either way !!!
  23. Don't get too excited yet. FC is a good team and glad to see Tre' Powell back but you played a less than average team in Todd County Central. A team that was 0-11 last season, gave up 613 points, has 4 wins this season over teams with a combined record of 5-22. I expect much of the same in this district except for the game against Owensboro Catholic. Good Luck Falcons !!!
