  8. Two pretty good teams, who wins this one and why?:walk:
  9. Congratulations to Bardstown. They win a trip to Dragon Stadium the first round of the playoffs against Green County. A team that has really came together the last few weeks and playing really good football. I am glad to see Bardstown coming in due to not playing them in a few years. Will be an exciting game and can't wait till the playoffs begin. Good Luck to Fort Knox as well. First round game against Glasgow is a tough one but anything could happen. Glasgow is very solid in all phases of the game. These District pairings is really tough with a possibility of 5 teams coming out on top to the Semi Finals. Could get interesting !!!
  10. Only way these two teams could meet again in the Playoffs would be if both made it to Regional Championship game. That means Green Co has to beat Bardstown and Danville while Monroe Co would have to defeat Washington Co and Glasgow. The playoff pairings are set and should look exactly like this: (1) Danville vs. (4) Metcalfe Co. (2) Green Co. vs. (3) Bardstown (1) Glasgow vs. (4) Fort Knox (2) Washington Co. vs. (3) Monroe Co. So as you see, it would be 3rd round of playoffs before these teams could meet. Both teams have a tough road to get there but could be done. Monroe Co would have to get by Washington and then defend an earlier loss against Glasgow. Green will have to go to Danville and win there again (just like in 2008). These playoffs will be tough, entertaining, and hard fought because there are 5 really good teams.
  11. Cinderella's slipper falls off tonight as the Admirals will roll in this one 42-14. Sorry WC, reality hits hard !!!
  12. Ha...Clock operator won't be a factor in the outcome of this game. Unless you are talking about a "running clock." Just make sure you get a good seat for what will be a great game. Win or Lose, I will still respect the opponent; unlike you.
  13. Well with your opinion and 50 cents, buy yourself a ski.
  14. Glasgow names the score in this one. Too much talent versus a depleated team equals a waste in time to pay for this one. Scotties win the District and gets a one seed for playoffs. Final: Scotties 58, Hornets 0
  15. Bell County dropping to 3A is a joke. The Bobcats will win year after year after year. Will be the Highlands of 3A. Congrats everyone in 3A, you are playing for Second Place
  16. I may be wrong but I believe that if Danville wins their district, they would host playoff games the first two rounds. Third round (Regional Championship) would be a road game to the District 3 team. The Green Co/Monroe Co game Friday will determine the number 2 seed out of District 3 and with first round wins, Danville would have to play one of these two teams at home the second round. I am not 100% positive about this but I think this is how it would work. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Could look like this 1st round: Danville/Washington Co winner vs. Metcalfe Co Green/Monroe winner vs. Ft Knox/Bardstown winner Then winners would play 2nd round: Glasgow vs. Ft Knox/Bardstown loser Washington Co/Danville loser vs. Monroe Co/Green Co loser Then winners would play 2nd round:
  17. Washington County is on a good run but I feel that Friday's game with Danville will bring the Commanders back to reality. I hope the Commanders continue to improve their program and consistently go back to the days were Washington County was good each and every year. Their JV team took a thumping Monday in the Conference playoffs to Green County (34-16). It was 34-0 at halftime and the Dragons played only 4 sophomores. The rest were 10 freshmen and 10 eighth graders. I also agree with some of the posters. FCampbell is a good football team but not sure they break the Top 10 yet. If they beat OCath this Friday then they are deserving. I just feel that teams like Green County, Washington County, Monroe County, and Caldwell County are being snubbed. Also, to have Glasgow no better than a #9 ranking to me is way off. That team is very athletic and when healthy, could be a contender. If they do not get healthy though, playoff run could be limited.
  18. If Green's defense plays like they did against Lone Oak, could be long night for the Falcons. If they do not, then this game could go late in fourth quarter. Players respect each other, fans hate each other. Look for a large crowd and a great football game. Anyone know the health status of both teams?
  19. 7: Central Hardin 5: Nelson County 3: Seneca 2: Bullitt East 1: Elizabethtown TB: Central Hardin
  20. 5: Paducah Tilghman 3: Trinity 3: Garrard County 1: Bryan Station 1: Scott County 1: Seneca 1: Graves County 1: Clay County 1: Bowling Green 1: Lexington Catholic TB: 42
  21. 7: Simon Kenton 5: Covington Catholic 3: Conner 2: Walton-Verona 1: Gallatin County TB: Simon Kenton
  22. Still no love for my Dragons from Green County. I know they stand at 5-3 but 2 loses by a total of 3 points. Only game they lose handily was to Bell County and we know how good that team is right now. Very dangerous team right now and I also feel that Glasgow being #9 is unjustified. When they are healthy, they could be the best team in Class 2A until proven otherwise. So, no love for Class 2A District 3 and it is very solid with Glasgow, Green, and Monroe.
  23. 7: Green County 5: Ft. Campbell 3: Ohio County 2: Hopkins County Central 1: Fulton County TB: Green County
  24. 7: Raceland 5: Clay County 3: Pike County Central 2: South Floyd 1: Betsy Layne TB: Clay County
  25. If you attend a game in our area, you see 1500-2500 fans attending home football games. On the road, we often take around 500-1000. Not a problem in small communities. Give examples of who you are speaking of...
