hey...this HHS fan feels JC was the best team faced by the Birds the last couple championship runs. I suspect the players and coaches would agree. So JC has my vote for # 2, if they had beaten HHS the last two years, I have no doubt they would have been state champs !

Could you please expand as to what changes came out of that loss? I agree that it: "does not matter that you get knocked down, but how you get up" that determines character and whether you are a winner or not...

Yes, I saw all that as well and I'll assume you saw JOrdan do the same. IMO- JK change of direction/acceleration/reading of holes and how to make people miss topped AC. Not saying AC not great player. I mean no disrespect to others. All guys on the list deserve to be there for consideration.

Hey....This Bird fan will NEVER take JC lightly. They have been the best test in the playoffs for a few years now and if HHS ever takes them lightly...JC will win state. I'm sure Dale and the young men under him respect JC and know to be ready. Those guys HIT and know how to play !

Darn, I was really hoping to see Bell County in 4-A. THey talk so much about how great they are: "best in 5 classes". I wonder if their coach will find a way to actually schedule Highlands? I do look forward to seeing great games with Boyle and Lex Cath on a more regular basis now. If HHS can't beat them....I'll pull for them to continue the East dominance.

WOW !!!!!! This "mediocre" team is AWESOME ! I'm not sure if they have even peaked yet!!! they got better and better each game thru the playoffs. THose Breds sure are special too!! congrats to NCC as well. Great season for both teams from Northern Campbell County !

YES! I've imagined that line-up, but it is nice how the tradition at HHS and NCC continues to grow. GO NORTHERN CAMPBELL COUNY FOOTBALL!!! I do admire what Trinity achieves year in year out, but they have to admit numbers in football do matter. We have sweet 16 for basketball, all teams compete in baseball but Football in all states divide based on student population. THat understood, what is accomplished by the 150 boys at NCC and HHS 'trumpts' what Trinity accomplishes with 3 times the # of students per class.

Another point has been on my mind. Another hypothetical team. Take the 100 boys from HHS the 50 Boys from NCC. Let's see what size school is that? Maybe larger Class 4? THat team beats EVERYONE in Kentucky for # of hypothetical championships. THe HHS and NCC boys can all be found in about a 5 to 8 mile radius. BEST FOOTBALL IN N.KY.!!! actually Northern part of Campbell County !!!!!! GO BREDS GO BIRDS !

Ryle Deserves #1 ranking at this point. I'm sure HHS and Ryle know that game was tough and could have gone the other way. Hopefully both teams learn a lot about themselves. HHS knows they better stay focused or # 20 is gone and that would haunt with them a long time. Good teams, such as Ryle, don't just 'laydown' because Highlands walks on the field. I hope Ryle now has complete confidence that with the same tenacious/tough play they can win in out and bring the 6A title home to NKY.

Speaking of "nobody gets hurt". How does the injury report for the Birds look? Hope the 'wounded' all make it back for second playoff week. IMO this week should be no problem. Anyone know status of injuries for the Birds?? Also, Hope the injured with Ryle ,NCC and Beechwood recover soon for NKY playoff runs !!!

I AGREE!!! Please guys....let's ignore these "rants" From UK#1fan till the game is scheduled. I'm sure real fans appreciate the fact that SK is improving but not yet arrived till the SCHEDULE and BEAT the Birds. Let's focus on getting the Trinity and ST. X games scheduled since we all know that would be a great set of games. Real football fans appreciate their tradition/talent just as they appreciate what the Birds do year in year out. THey need their schedule filled as does HHS. It is obvious the N.ky teams are "ducking'' except RYle(why we respect Ryle). IMO

you have got to be kidding me!!!!??? Scott parents/family members "parked" themselves on HHS sidelines right next to Lorenzen!!!?? How did he(Lorenzen) contain himself, and I can't imagine the referee not being disiplined or suspended for now stepping in to correct the situation!

You stated the obvious very well KYRYLECAT! Bluebird fans respect Ryle for scheduling HHS over the last few years and it has been a pleasure watching a great HS running back, Elliot. GOSH....wish we could have recruited him!! LOL It is sad and a mystery why Sk has avoided HHS. Are they really only interested in "talking" about how they can beat the Birds? I'm pulling for Ryle the rest of the way, except this Thursday of course.
