If they had wanted a win so bad, the JV team could've been stocked with a bunch of the sophs that recently got moved up to varsity and didn't see a whole lot of playing time Friday night. But were they there? NO. Personally, I seriously doubt it had much, if anything, to do with another win over CCH. If Coach Wirth doesn't choose to use a player (senior) returning from an injury to gradually get him back up to speed, then that's HIS decision. All coaches want to have as many of their players as possible ready each week, no matter whom they are going up against. You always respect and never underestimate any team, and I'm sure Harrison County wouldn't appreciate the slam they just received.

Donovan (#44) only played JV as he was coming back from an injury and needed to get in some reps to get back into Varsity condition. It was not a question of playing seniors on JV to get a win.

We have the greatest rivalry in Kentucky High School football in our own backyard. The reason it is the greatest is the MUTUAL respect each program has for the other. Rivalry should never be based on HATRED, and when one or more taint the spirit of the game because they cannot control their anger, thus the team loses. That is why I personally feel for the fine young men of the CCH JV football team. All they tried to do was play their hearts out for their school and that opportunity was taken away by the thoughtless act of a "FAN". I loathe when refs dictate the outcome of a game and when someone not even playing on the field affects the outcome, that is the travesty. It's time for adults to act like adults and be an example worthy of emulation and maybe we wouldn't be talking about tweets. The road to STATE should go through Northern Kentucky each year. We have two very storied programs here with great heritage, don't destroy what these young men have built with their blood, sweat, and tears by not being able to restrain your own acts. Time to take responsibility folks and preserve the integrity of the game. Now, let's talk rematch, game on Colonels!

I always believe actions speak louder than words. That being said, I had Coach Collinsworth on a flight from CVG to ATL, and there was coach in his full coaching gear ready to go to work. Short of asking him directly, I say the man coaches for the love of the game and retirement is not in his immediate plans. Go BIRDS!!!

Yes 6'2" 175 as a Freshman WR. Kid is all athlete. Have seen him workout at ASAP in Covington. Since everything was pretty much decided in Spring Ball, never got to see what he could do at QB. Fought through a high ankle sprain in preseason, but came back as a dominate receiver if you can get the ball to him. Time will tell.

How about a four team matchup for charity. Highlands, Cov Cath, Lex Cath, Boyle Co. North against South so to speak, think of the ticket sales.

There is an out of state transfer this year that plays QB but never got the opportunity to try out for the Freshman, top athlete, NFL pedigree, etc. Let's see what happens next year for JV.
