  1. Shumate had some shoulder tendinitis and just resumed full throwing about 10 days ago.
  2. So what you are basically saying is that Krumps doesn't know how to coach? Warning will see plenty of time on the mound and will be heavily counted on but IMO, Klein will be their #1. I thnk people have forgotten about him. He was 6 - 0 his soph year and from what the jv coaches tell me, he looks to be close to his old self. Good for him!!
  3. I was volunteering at an elementary tourney this week. There was a very hard foul in the last few seconds of the game and who did I have to seperate - not the kids but the adults in the stands. If some of these "loving parents" would put half the effort into helping with their kids education as they do in "rooting" for their kids, we'd be a little better off IMO
  4. I have watched CCH 4 or 5 times this year but last night was the first time I got to a game very early. Can someone please tell me why a team that is as bad from the charity line as Cov Cath is does not shoot free throws before the game? Neither team did for that matter and they were both horrible from the line. I saw CCH practice a few dunks and countless three pointers though. I guess those are the crowd pleasers.
  5. Not to make this a CCH thread but Isler didn't play on the greatest team of the last decade. 2002 won state, 2005 was one strike from winning semi state and 2001 may have been the most talented team ever at CCH. Isler is not in the class of Etler or Harmon but he was very, very good. Certainly, he's better than Roenker at this point of their career. Roenker would have to improve greatly to be considered as dominant as Isler was.
  6. The state switched their tourney format this year. No 2 of 3 semi state any longer. All regions were given a longer time to complete their tourneys as a result. Myerhoff, Krumpbelbeck and a few others wanted to keep old format but the majority wanted it extended. In any given year any team can win it but usually the best TEAM wins it. Not always but usually. That may no longer be the case. A team with a very good #1 and a decent #2 can win it now. I really wonder about the logic. Can you imagine how this would have changed last years region if Isler could have pitched 2 of 3 games? It seems the coaches voted in favor of whats good for them and not good for the region. The 9th may have hurt their chances in state tourney.
  7. I don't know of anyone who had more tutelage than he did. Some for on the field and more for off.
  8. This just kills me. Anyone who has ever sat near the sidelines of a high school basketball game or stood on the sidelines of a football game knows you almost have to wash your EARS out with soap after the game but yet a baseball coach can barely make an objection.
  9. Before you annoint Coach M the coach of the decade and Beechwood the team of the decade, I think you better look at some numbers. Beechwood has been to 10 regions, has 3 title appearences with 3 victories (one against CCH) and has a state runner up. CCH has been to 9 regions, has 7 title appearences with 3 victories (one against Beechwood) and has a state title!! Krumps is also 4 -2 in post season play against Coach M. Both are excellent coaches who get the most out of their players. Those B'wood teams of the mid 2000's weren't dog meat though. They were very fine teams with better than average players. Congratulations to Beechwood on their win Wed. night and especially to Daniel Snyder.
  10. Was replying specifically about jkruk's comments about the coach and his style of play.
  11. Sounds like someone is a little bitter towards Coach Krumps!! Like it or not, he wins and they're the team everyone wants to beat. And like it or not, few in N. Ky. do.
