In this week of the 62nd District Tournament I have witnessed a parent of another player flip off the opposing side, a 35+ year old women tear a team sign down put on the wall to designate seating arrangments and walk through the middle of the floor beating her chest and flashing the sign (she ended up tripping and falling while doing so) during a timeout, a 40+ man waving bye bye to a student section multiple times. Why don't adults come an watch and leave the taunting and childish actions up to the students and the student sections? Anyone seen anything else worse or to the same degree?

Sometimes no matter what the school colors are, RED shines through.

It happens everywhere, not just in your district.

Before the tipoff of Lee-Powell 56th district game, the players, cheerleaders, and students in the stands from both schools spontaneously recognized and gave loud ovation to young man with disability that regularly attends games in the area. Maybe adults should follow example of kids, rather than vice-versa.

I like this story much more than the bad ones.

Totally agree, I truely applaud them!!! Some adults should think if they are being a role model, which they should be anyway... Oh, what a great country we live in LOL

I think some adults just don't care or think this behavior is totally appropriate, mostly because they never were able to put high school sports -- and sports in general -- in its proper perspective.

Its sad because it sets the wrong example to students. I was at a game last week in Lex. and a fan who I think was the parent was using very bad language and being very loud. And right beside him was a family with 3 toddlers.

I was volunteering at an elementary tourney this week. There was a very hard foul in the last few seconds of the game and who did I have to seperate - not the kids but the adults in the stands.

If some of these "loving parents" would put half the effort into helping with their kids education as they do in "rooting" for their kids, we'd be a little better off IMO

Because there is no student body at Elliott they only have grown ups. Elliott has a student body of about 250 students in a rural community while economic hardships are happening all around us; somebody has to act little crazy .
