I thought that Boone game was the third round? They beat Shelby Co in round 1 and then Trinity (at Trinity) in round 2 before making the dumb decision to go for it from the 5 yard line instead of kicking the FG to send it to OT. Especially when they put the QB with a broken finger under center for the first time all game.

Every time this song comes on the radio (like right now) or my iPod, I can't help but sing along and I kinda hate myself for it.

The Dixie folks don't care because we know what our team is capable of and look forward to everyone else finding that out (and some people finding out for a second time). But we won't put the cart in front of the horse. It's one game at a time. Oh, and I think the Dixie folks realize HB is referring to our team.

I have met Brandon Phillips twice. Once I just got an autograph and then when he was at the Dixie-SK game two weeks ago I got to chat with him for a few minutes and get a picture. Was a really nice guy. Met Antwan Odom while out one night. He gave me his phone number but I've never used it.

I really wish yards after contact were reported. Pretty sure Zajac would be near the top of that list. He has speed which was displayed last night on his 57 yard TD run but he also is a power back. The number of times this year that he has carried a host of defenders 5-10 yards down field is too many to count. I think the argument that Zajac only has good stats because of the O-line is a poor argument. They may open the hole for him (and they do frequently) but he makes people miss in the open field or powers through tackles for big gains after contact.

Tates Creek travels up I-75 to open the postseason at Rice Mountjoy Stadium against the Colonels. As for the question of if the passing attack will be a concern, I don't think so at this point. The passing game has improved the past few weeks and I look for that trend to continue. At the same time the running game is hitting on all cylinders right now.

Great to hear! I was impressed with him during the first half of the Dixie game. I had read quite a bit going in about how good he was and he lived up to it. His elusiveness really impressed me. Good luck next week!

Two different animals (sports) but while announcing soccer games this season and postseason I had to read the following: "The KHSAA mandates that there be no use of artificial noisemakers, confetti, signs or banners during tonight's contest." An air horn would fall under artificial noisemakers IMO. But like I said, two different animals as soccer is pretty much all continuous play while football is not. Just wanted to put it out there for interpretation.
