They threw it to Burdette on the rocket screen and that was about it, every now and then they would throw it to #18 I believe. They didn't pass much at all, they didn't need to. Hayden rushed for over 300, they stuck with the run game almost all night.

They focused their offense around Hayden, which is a great game-plan, but if a team can shut him down, LCA won't be able to win. It's very very simple, stop Hayden and you will win! :thumb:

I'm not mad about any loses, In fact, I can't wait till Lloyd plays those boys in red and black. And my point is nobody else could do that good. And all of the teams around here are in for a rude awakening when they play Lloyd. All I hear on here is how bad Lloyd is, and that always comes from other schools fans who know nothing about Lloyd, besides the scores they read in the paper. Everyone who insults Lloyd, was not there in the winter when those boys were working their tail ends off in the weight room, they were not there during 2-a-days to see the dedication those boys have and the hard work they put in. What I'm trying to say is these boys for Lloyd have talent, and It's going to show a lot more against Newport and in the upcoming weeks.

Look who Lloyd has played, that itself deserves a wow. Allowing 31 a game to the top two 1A schools and a 6A school is much better than a couple of other 2A schools around here could do... If you get what I'm saying, and I'm sure you do.

Beechwood and LCA are averaging over 50 pts. a game each I believe. Lloyd held both to In the 30's, and they also held a 6A school to 24 points. Not one team Newport has played is nearly as physical as any team Lloyd has played this year. This is Lloyd's first district game of the year, and Lloyd isn't playing to come in second, third, or last. They want to win, and they will give it everything they have, and will settle for nothing less than a District Title. Anything less than that or state, will be an unsucsessful season. Look for Lloyd to come out fired up, and give Newport a game that they're not expecting. I wish the best of luck to Newport.

Newport hasn't played the competition that Lloyd has. Newport is one of Lloyd's biggest rivals, Lloyd will come out pumped and surprise a lot of people with this game. People think Lloyd is 0-3 and they are down this year, when in all actuality, Lloyd has a very good chance of making a run deep into the playoffs. Lloyd-42 Newport-13

Here's some stats for Lloyd, Lloyd had over 500 yards of total offense. Brendon Gregory passed for over 250 and rushed for 144 yards, Seydrick Walker rushed for 85 yards, and Roger Herthel had 10 catches for over 100 yards.
