  1. Yes SHA will be in the mix for the 7th region title, but that's a long way off. So much changes between now and the end of the season. For SHA it will be interesting to see if they can blend the new players with the veterans without affecting team chemistry. One of the Valkyries areas that needed help was in the post. They should get it with the addition of the Freshman Clemons at the 5 position. They also have a couple of juniors that should be able to provide some help in the paint.
  2. Sacred Heart's first scrimmage is coming up on Nov 19th against Ryle at Bullitt East. What should we expect to see out of Ryle?
  3. Here's a highlight video I googled on Samsel from Sacred Heart's best of Maryland tourney this past summer. Looks like she is getting to the lane, making good passes and finishing along with stroking the 3. Good stuff.
  4. I would add onto your statement that many other significant players also had really good summer with their AAU teams. Ashley Harris played up on Kentucky Premier's EYBL 15U team. She will play a huge role in Sacred Hearts team this year. Our impact freshman also played very well for Kentucky Premier this summer. They are post player Clemons and guards Toller and Marshall who all played on the same team.
  5. Should be a good year for Sacred Heart this year. Is this the year they get over the hump and win the 7th region? SHA picked up some freshman that should help them in the post and back court.
  6. Fair amount of Kentucky Premier kids playing in these scrimmage games.

  8. Sivils is extremely athletic which makes her a D1 material for that alone. Add onto that her work ethic and continuous improvement with her basketball skills and you have some real college potential. She is one of the fastest players in the state. If you ranked the top twenty in the 7th region, at least 15 will play at the college level somewhere. Should be some fun basketball to watch this year in the 6th and 7th region.
  9. I agree. CAL has some really good players on their team, but short on depth. Emma Wesley and Calhoun will carry this team.
  10. I don't know what to expect out of Assumption this year because I thought they lost some talent from last years team.
  11. I don't know how they determine these lists, but I agree with you on these players you listed. Harbison has really come along this past year.

  14. Didn't they lose their best returning player?
  15. Things change from the summer to now from transfers, injuries, and kids just hanging it up. Have any of the top teams added or lost any players? Have any teams moved up or down on the list of the top 10 teams for the 2016-2017.
  16. I would assume they are the favorites to win the 7th region until someone knocks them off.
  17. LaRue County basketball coach resigns after being indicted for s - WDRB 41 Louisville News This really is a shame for these girls.
  18. Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there in BGP land that put their kids first, so they can be the best that they can be! Hopefully they all take care of you today!
  19. Who are your top teams for the 2016-2017 season? Here's a few: Butler Mercer County Male Murray Franklin County Bullitt East
  20. All I know is year in and year out, Assumption always gives Sacred Heart a good game.
  21. I know what you mean, but you want your kids playing throughout the year. The teams that are successful find ways to give their kids opportunities to play during the spring/summer months whether it's a high profile AAU organization or a team run by one of their assistants that has other players throughout the area playing on the team. Bottom line is you have to keep your kids playing and developing their skills. If I was a coach taking over a program that doesn't do this I would change that immediately.
  22. Bottom line is if you want a successful program, as a coach you better be involved throughout the year including the summer. Hooking into an AAU program for have a pipeline into your program is a must. Most of the top programs in the 6th and 7th region have this.
  23. The assistant for Male is Nicole Ambrose. I've met her and seems to be a quality individual. She was a manager on Coach Waltz U of L cardinal team for four years. She has the energy and has the discipline to take over a program and make it relevant by working year round to get the program competitive. I believe she helps out with the Legends Gauntlet AAU team.
  24. So many variables before the 2016-2017 season starts to make early rankings. I know Sacred heart has most everyone coming back with some really good rising Freshman coming into the program that will bring depth and a post player to the team. If they aren't in the top five, then they are right there looking in at #6.
  25. Good luck to the Jaguars! Need at least one catholic school to get into the sweet sixteen.
