Word out of Manual is a few players from Male's football team might get suspended because of a school prank...both schools received a few friendly acts of vandalism. Unsure if any starters were involved......just a rumor that hasn't been confirmed.:isurrender:

Manual has owned Male the past couple of years.....Can the Dawgs with a potent offense put enough points on the board to beat the Crimson and White. I like Manual's defense and Tough schedule to pull out a close one. Manual 27 Male 21

I stand corrected....They did split a DH. Where are they playing the District games this year ? How will they determine the home team in the Manual/St. X match up....with both teams having won a game and equal runs scored?

Which top 25 team will not make it out of the 25th District Manual or St.Xavier? I believe both teams are capable of making a serious run at the regional crown but unfortunately one team will not make the tournament due to Male having beat both teams. Even though Manual beat X in their earlier meeting I believe the game is a toss up. Good Luck to both teams? Who you got???

I predict 2 close games....both games will be decided in the late innings by a key hit!

Can anyone tell me when the preseason High School baseball poll comes out?

There was a pitcher who played summer travel baseball ( 16 and under ) with Western Hills and he threw in the upper 80's and low 90's....can someone help with his name ( and HS ) he played with JT Riddel.This pitcher had good movement on his fastball and a good mound presence.One of the tougher pitchers I seen this past summer.

Year in and year out that District is one of the toughest to come out of in the state. St.X will be tough this year and their pitching could be the key. They have a couple of Soph.'s that are up and coming and are pretty tough. Last year Male did not make the regional tournament for the first time in 14 years. They have 7 returning starters and will be a good hitting team. If the pitching staff comes around the sky is the limit. Manual on the other hand has a very talented pitching staff along with several key starters back. These teams know each other very well and I wouldn't be surprised if the regional champ comes from this district.

St.X 49 - Crimson 10.....X will score early an often against Manual.Very potent Offense against a mediocre Defense...St. X is Scary good!!!

JCPS announced all High School games/events are canceled until further notice. I'm not sure if school is in session on Thursday and Friday if the games could be postponed until Saturday or even Sunday???

St. X will be ahead by 4-5 touchdowns at half against what appears to be a " below average Male team ". X will key on Justin Green and Male will struggle to move the football. As usual Male's press coverage will get picked apart...don't be surprised if the clock continues to run in the second half.

Lauderdale----Baltimore Orioles Spring Training is an AWESOME TIME.......it's addictive.

Jimmy Ref......To be perfectly honest I do not see Trinity being better next year.I watched several Freshman and JV games..don't see a lot to be excited for in foreseeable future.Average talent at best.

Thanks Park, Wished I was there sounds like it was a great game. Well at least X paid them back at the varsity level last night in a BIG district win.

How did St. X's freshman team due today I heard they were going up against Male? I know X beat them earlier in the year.

Can somebody give me heads up on what transpired at the District game. This loss puts alot of weight on the St. Xavier / Male for seeding in the District tournament. It appears as if Manual is for real.

Park, Looks like it's going to be a dogfight every year between St.X and Male ( Manual is also tough )!!! One of these years in the near future they are going to represent the seventh region awfully well in the state tournament. The 7th region is almost a state tournament by itself with X, Ballard, Male,Trinity,Manual,Eastern, Fern Creek, J'town, emergence of CAL!!!

Park1221, I am still shocked that not all area schools have a freshman team!!! With all the AAU travel teams in the 13 and 14 age group it would seem that enough talented ball players would tryout to field a school team. Is it funding? Lack of interest? Focusing on basketball or football? As far as middle school athletes I have a hard time believing most 7th or 8th graders could contribute to the freshman team. There are exceptions to the rule but they are few and far between.

I wasn't aware of any area teams that couldn't fill a freshman team!!!!
