  1. What would like to know. I see him as a hard working, very unselfish, humble, and talented young man. He has virtually gone unnoticed or under the radar, with the expection of the coaches in 12 Region, during his sophmore and freshman years because Somerset had losing seasons.
  2. Congrats to both team for a great game. This was a true fans games, i really enjoyed it. Both teams played hard. I especially enjoyed it more watching number 11 step up and knock free throws down in the fourth quarter to help his team to victory. I am kind of biased about, number 11 but rightfully so.
  3. That is the way i saw it. The office closes the play immediately called it a three. The difference in the game in my opinion is that TC never adjusted. I don't think it was MC offense, it the fact that TC does not look to score. They jumped out to a 39-35 lead after a 35-35 tie by pushing the ball up the floor twice. Then they seemed to go into what i would call a survival mode. This is the first time i watched them play, no wonder there games are so low. MC gave number 20 the open 3 all night, and he would not shoot. I know this kid can shoot because i have seen him play in the summer. I know they have won some big games, but every now and then you have to make adjustments. Barksdale scored an early 6 points and then he never got a chance to score, and it was not all MC defense. You have to put someone other than Fucci in position to score sometimes. Tough break for TC i too thought they would win.
  4. Congrats to the Warriors. Good luck against Mercer. Anyone have any details about the game?
  5. Congrats to the Vikings, nice win. They played well, lead from start to finish. West played good also and Brown shot lights out. Few things can be pointed out. Vikings did not shot that well from the charity stripe, but they controlled the boards for the most part. Other than Brown'sm eagle eye they played pretty good def.
  6. I think you may be right!!! I also agree that both teams know they have to show up tonight ready to play.
  7. I think that loss to West early in the year plays into Rowan's favor. I know they have not forgot about it.
  8. Another thread reported that the Eastham kid quit the team to concentrate on College Football, does anyone know if that has effected PC's play, and when did this happen. Also it was reported that their best player missed the Mercer game, who was that referring to? They have lost 3 or the last 4 and was just wondering what's going on.
  9. Rowan's Stats are posted on Max Preps, and it has them with 19 boards. Hard to believe the advantage was double, i watched the game it did not appear that lop sided.
  10. I agree the front runners need to remain focused or there could be some upsets.
  11. I believe that Moore out rebounded them for the game but that total may be a little skewed. I would say more like 35 - 20. It was a good game, and the refs done a good job letting them play.
  12. I am glad Timmy does not think like this. He was man enough to give credit to the other team and tell them he believes he will see them again in the regional finals. It was a good game, look at that video that was downloaded on here, Timmy got an and one on that dunk, show me the foul.
  13. I just think the young man was not advised very well. Some people that target the better athletes in the summer do so for reasons that may not be in the athletes best interest. From talking with several coaches and administrators, he will not be eligible until a year after he enrolled at BS. If i understand it right if he went back to LC he may be eligible now, or at least at the beginning of next season. It will be interesting watching this unfold. I do wish him luck as I think he is a fine young man and a very good athlete.
  14. I have stayed away from posting much this season, but, after reading the Ashland Daily Independent on Monday, kind of thought Wing and Townsend might come out inspired. If those two continue to perform the way the way they did tonight, with the supporting cast they have I think the Vikings should receive some votes for front runner consideration. Wing 28 pts, 13 rebs; Townsend 21 pts, 9 ast. against a State Top 20. Congrats to Rowan on the big win tonight.
  15. From the RC side of things, they also played a game on Monday night, so they had two games in 24 hours. I understand Robbie was under the weather, but that does not take away from the RC effort. Most people in the gym agreed that Egan was fouled on the last shot and it was off in time. The coach and team understands the game was at GRC and usually not going to get that call. Wazoo reported it as a foul, good comentary on a no call. Congrats to RC, keep up the hard work.
  16. Rowan has two football players that start, that has not been with the team that long. Adam Wing and Darrell Cross. Cross has missed both scrimmages due to being out of town for the holidays. IMO West is still a team to be watched from what I saw. I to agree that all things being equal, when Wing and Cross get into mental and physical basketball shape, Rowan should be better.
  17. I do believe you can move WJ up in the 12th region, they may suprise some teams. They played a complete team game, againt a strong Rowan team that was missing one starter. Rowan won the first half - West won the second, end results WJ by 4 as reported. Most things i seen had them about 6th in the region, may want to rethink that one. Not saying they can beat Mercer for the one seed in tourney time, just not sure they are outside the top five.
  18. Yes that was the score of the four quarter game. Rowan played without D. Cross, and the started only played one quarter in the second half. Rowan played a good all around game.
  19. As you already know, I am kind of partial to the Thacker kid at Rowan. Really he is pretty good combo guard, fearless competitor, and has a solid to high BB IQ. Are you going to come out that night?
  20. I think that is what I originally said. My bad Les. Those things do happen. Good luck in the 12th. I have some good friends down that way i will be keeping up.
  21. I am not assuming anything, i find it hard to beleive that anyone would mention him as part of the Somerset team when he played all summer with Rowan County. All I can say is that you must be the only person who tracks the 12th region that did not know he was gone. I guess I should have assummed you called the coach or the AD and aquired that information. I think you should have taken the pass Less, would not have taken much research to get this one right.
  22. Are you refering to E.C. Browns son George, if so he was a graduate of old Liberty High School.
