10 Good
  1. Way to fight out a tough game Ladyhounds, represent our 10th Region in the morning, also the game against NCC is at 10:00 A.M., if they win they will play at 6:00 P.M. The girls will play all day Thursday until the winners who will be in the finals and then that game (final) will be played Sunday as regularly scheduled. Lets pray that all the teams who do not have heat in Richmond can find some warmth and enjoy their experience. I heard they may put all the teams up at EKU in the arena. Who knows, take care of all of our athelets. Amen.
  2. Update !!!!! The Paris-Presentation game will kick off at 12:00 P.M.
  3. As of now all games are on. Power is out in half of Richmond but the games are on as scheduled.
  4. Paris will show up and make some noise. Coach Brooks always schedules his girls to play the best teams around. Don't count them out, especially if they happen to start hitting some shots, I watched them a few times and when they get hot they can do a lot of damage, good defensive team. It is really a toss up but just watch out for Brooks' team, he will have them ready.
  5. I'm eager to see Clark County, a supposedly tough 10th region opponent. Also curious to see Mason and Paris since both are rebuilding this year. Should be some great matchups. If you are a big fan of girls basketball this should be a good showcase.
  6. The Paris/Bourbon County Winter Classic is a great experience. Both schools combine to put on a basketball fest. If you want to watch great girls b-ballwith unbiased refs, this is the tournament. I have no affiliation with either teams but wow what a tourney. Where can you go and play against a six foot eight commiment to Tennessee? There is remarkable talent and a community willing to support it. Last years experience was great and this years teams are even more competitive. It would be nice if the home teams could win one, but thats not the objective. Good ball and good times is what its all about.
  7. Clark County seemed the strongest, no one else will compete. They will beat Montgomery County this year, Paris lost all their players except Hinkson, and it will be tough for her to carry such a young team. If the sisters of Clark County will play ball and not be so demanding they will win the 10th region.
  8. Montgomery Co. will win by 13, game will be close early with the experienced Indians having to much down the stretch.
  9. I know no one has this team in the top 10 but I would not completely count them out, but Paris has a group of girls that have been together the last 2 years. They have one senior returning and a host of Juniors that have started varsity since 8th and 9th grade. Also, Emily Hinkson returns to the mound for her 4th year as starting pitcher. She has steadily improved and this team could sneak up on some people by season's end. She has over 200 strike outs last year and hit 2 homers, may suprise some teams.
  10. Hawgball, I would offer that I've also never seen a player send in a substitute with limited playing time in a game that is do or die. I have also never seen a player call a time out and tell the team to change offenses or defenses or recognize what the players are doing wrong. These are all coaching responsibilities not players.
  11. It seems as though GRC had a game plan and accomplished it by mixing man to man defense and a 1-3-1 zone. The Ladyhounds were just flat outcoached.
  12. I would swap Hinkson and Jones from the 2nd and 3rd teams as Hinkson is more valuable to the Ladyhound team.
