I watched Russell play this year when they visited Boone Co. Even though we won the game, I was impressed with Coach Kidwell in the fact that he kept coaching his girls until the buzzer sounded. Coach Kidwell is a class act and has a really good coaching staff as well. Too bad we cant lure him to our region...:dancingpa Dont count his team out of contention. His run at going to state (regional play) the last 3 years has been impressive. BTW, Who are some of the favorites to win the 16th Region this year?

Lexington Catholic's Novosel has to be the favortie but Reid is nipping at her heels. Both are out standing players and will excel on the next level as well. Good luck to the both of you.

Morgan Mcleish is her name for Ryle and she is a very good point guard that knows the game, makes her teammates better and can score when needed. She is averaging about 14 points per game. Needs to improve a little on her outside shot to play at the next level but she can for sure play.

Great memories of Troy and Dickie. Great High School Players! Troy should have played more at UK. Could you imagine how quick Joe B would have yanked Bradley and Crawford for some of their shot selection...ha ha

From other posts that I have read concerning the coaching staff and rhfan there is going to be a mass exodus, lets hope not but thats what other threads have indicated. You can beat that drum all you want about age and inexperience and to some degree you are right but the Frily (spelling?) girl was in cat pause this year representing your 16th region girls from Rose Hill. Instead of developing it looks like they have went backwards. According to Reiherds scoreboard on Rose Hill that their point production was in the 40's-50's the first half of the year, the last 3-4 games (other than this one) has been in the 20's. This time of the year they should be improving, so I do think that coaching or lack of it has a lot to do with it. I wish Rose Hill the best as they get older, maybe they can come to the 9th region and play us.

I get your point, just reminded me of another school in another region (9) that went from contender the last 3-4 years to major struggling this year. The coach is always saying that they are just young, after a while you get tired of hearing it especially after 20 games has been played and the season is coming to an end. Coaches get paid to teach the game and find ways to be competetive and win occasionally.

Sounds like excuses and damage control rhfan. Rose Hill has talent to win, the little blonde muscle bound girl and the Sophome (Frily?) are the best on the team and could start for any team in the region. It amazes me that when teams are losing (not just Rose Hill but others as well) that it is never the coaching. How many on this team did not see varsity action last year?
