Hopefully, Russell will make a decision this week and put an end to all of this speculation. -

I am sure that Ivan has had a say so in the JFL of Russell. That is part of the reason for his great football program. -

I want to clarify some points on my previous post. The Middle school and Freshwomen teams are a result of their feeder system. It would do Kidwell and Cassity both a world of good to start having a major role in what goes on in the MMYBL. -
Russell Girls Opening!
Madeleine Albright replied to Blue Blazer's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
The program's numbers are down for several reasons. The Freshwomen and Middle School Girls have been over looked, under developed for some time now. If Cassity becomes the next "Skipper" of the Lady Devils he will be cleaning up a mess that has been there for the last couple of years. That mess is not a reflection of the young ladies or lack of them. With all due respect when are schools going to start electing to place people into these coaching positions that have atleast played the game before and has the compacity to teach under developed kids how to play the game. This post is not a derogatory attack on Russell but all schools that fall into this political trap. -

I don't think either one of these will be considered. I thought Adkins was the statistician for Kidwell. Anyway, best of luck to both of these applicants. -

Paris names new Head Coach
Madeleine Albright replied to Option Right's topic in KY Football (High School)
I am sure that if he was mentored by Cobb, then he will be fine. It may take him a few years but after that he will win and be very competitive. Good hire for Paris. -
Biggest Impact Transfers (all-time)

razor, thanks for posting about Jim, he kind of slipped my mind! The list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Ashland should be proud of their sanctimonious actions concerning the name of this thread. -

To date, does anyone know how many has applied for this position? -
Russell Girls Opening!
Madeleine Albright replied to Blue Blazer's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
That part is true. Let's hope that it is not the same person that has hired the last 2 Boys Basketball Coaches (excluding Kidwell). GoRadio, I respect your opinion. I still believe when it is said and done that Cassity will be named the new girls coach. Just to let you know, the "A" person that I am referring to is not the final authority on the matter. You should try and PM me sometime before you jump to conclusions. Have a great night, Madeleine -

You make me laugh. Out loud I might add. I will refrain at this point in time from commenting too much about you spindoc because of what repercussions I might accrue. I have watched you over the years and I really don't like admitting this but you are a good Moderator and when you so desire you can engage in some meaningful debates. I will refer to post #130 on the closed down thread "Russell Coach Dodd Resigns?" -

Chad Bradley Point Guard. I don't forget anything unless I need to. I was giving you an oppurtunity to opine with quick wit and jesting of your fingers. Maybe a thread needs to be started on the many athletes both male and female that has went to Ashland from a previous school. My uneducated guess would be that Ashland has had more of an influx of both genders to play sports than any other school in the State. Let me PM you, is that okay Rickyp? -

Steve Himes : Ashland Kelley Cutwright : Ashland Arliss Beach : Ashland Matt Thomas: Ashland Steve Dodd: Ashland Jim Harkins: Ashland Cooksey: Ashland Darrel Arbaugh (Euton's Brother) : Ashland Mahan: Ashland Drew McDavid: Ashland Chuck Cantrell: Ashland Jerry Morrison: Ashland Large: Ashland I know I am forgetting many more kids that transferred into Ashland. Maybe Scooterbob Fastbreak can help out on this one. Isnt it a little ironic when you look at the fabled basketball gods of Ashland past that in the top five all time leading scorers that just a few were home grown talent. In mentioning ScooterBob and Fastbreak, I was not intending to exclude anyone else from information that would be helpful to this post. -
Russell Girls Opening!
Madeleine Albright replied to Blue Blazer's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Maybe you should have hired her to coach your boys program. The boys coaching staff could use a former D1 player to help them rebuild. Maybe Fraley at Greenup could use Amy on the bench. I never posted that she wasn't a good coach, just that Cassity should be named the coach and I already posted the reasons why. -
Russell Girls Opening!
Madeleine Albright replied to Blue Blazer's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
This is not speculation, there is "A" person at Russell that has Amy high on their list. She is not high on Russells list ! If she gets the job I hope she can encourage others to play because it won't be long before she won't have enough from within to field a team ! NOW, what they better do is talk Cassity in to taking the job before they self implode. PERIOD. This is a very crucial decision and "A" person shouldn't be the majority. EXCLAMATION POINT!!! -
Bush calls for $770 million in food aid
Madeleine Albright replied to HHSDad's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
Really? I may be mistaken but I don't think that it is the Democratic party that is occupying the Presidency right now. The Republican party has been very dissappointing over the last 8 years and it's not going to change with McCain. Who can debate the fact that from 1992-2000 were some of the best years of economic stimuli? Anyone that would want to go through another 4 years of R.R. (Republican Rhetoric) is either very well financed themselves or just really uneducated in matters of the smoke and mirrors of drum beating that plays to the tune of Pro-Life and Morale just to get the majority vote of good hearted people that are being pillaged every which way that you can possibly conceive. This Food Aid is just another example of a tax burden, who do you think is paying for it? -
Bush calls for $770 million in food aid
Madeleine Albright replied to HHSDad's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
I would like to see factual documentation that the United States is the largest food provider. We actually lead the world in importing more food into this country then exporting it out. The upheaval mindset of evilness and social unrest is accrued from the occupancy of the current governmental administration. Thank goodness we are in an election year and we can finally put an end to the tyranny of the oil mongrels and maybe he can invade is native land in Texas. Because the by-product of the last two terms is an economy on the brink of disaster, we may never see gas and food prices go down again. Hopefully Clinton or Obama can help to reduce the suffering of millions of Americans. -
Time For A Change In Raceland?
Madeleine Albright replied to thegooch's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
Randy does a great job and teaches the kids and prepares them for life. Our woes has nothing to do with the coaching staff nor the players level of talent. As someone stated earlier they will get better in the years to come.
