Many coaches start out with no prior varsity experience. Russell has many legitimate coaches with no head coaching experience that would do well if given the chance...Cassity, Parsley, Skaggs, Yates all of these young men are fine coaches. Cassisty is probably the next coach at Russell and will treat the Lady Devils as they should be treated and he will continue to build upon the foundation that Merle has laid. Remember, you heard first from Madeleine weeks ago!

rhfan, I have no idea what you are talking about. My post was in response to razor. I personally dont care who leaves or stays at any school. razor, not you rhfan, has repeatedly bashed Rose Hill over and over. If you want to address me then take it to the PM's and we can converse from there. For the record, there was nothing in this thread or my post that insuated anything about rhfan. If you are defending razor and kyballfan then you three really are a tight kit family.

razor, why do you bash on Rose Hill so much? At least kyballfan tries to be subtle in his onslaught of attacks and negativity. That would mean that the ones that are left there, are there for the Religious Education and not Sports. Maybe then all of you Ashlandites will quit bashing Rose Hill. Cassity has coached several years for middle school in the past and assisted Merle for a couple of years. He is great with kids and is for sure a winner ! He rarely sits when coaching and he is in every single play with them. You will NEVER see him quit in a game or show any negetive emotions toward the kids no matter what the score is.

I have said it before and I will say it again that Cassity is the right choice for the job.

There are several parents that coach their own...from the Marv Meredith League to the Russell / Flatwoods Baseball Little Leagues in Flatwoods. Every parent wants their own to shine but from my understanding Steve Skaggs is a standup kind of guy. The best thing Merle can do is to put his foot down on the Marv Meredith League...this is where it all starts! Parents that have/are coaching their own at Russell Marv Meredith Mike Sherman Dodd Skaggs Parsley Cassity I am sure the list is longer...who am I leaving out?

If they are in the bottom 25 nationally, then I stand by my post...not a top ten team nationally. As for having sour grapes, I have none. Good luck to all of the kids.
