Last year's coach or this year's coach? No player should ever take it for granted that they are going to start regardless of their age, class or their respective school. Outside of the Frily girl the rest of the team were nothing but little middle schoolers. Not just in girls basketball but also in boys basketball, there is way to much stock being put into middle school kids that may or may not develop into great players. No offense to Rose Hill but rhfan you mentioned 3 starters were leaving, those 3 and the other one would not have started at any other school, probably not even dressed on the Varsity. I honestly don't see what the issue is, no one but you mentioned about the kids leaving. Those 3 will have no impact one way or another on the future of the girls basketball program at Rose Hill. Like every school in the region, kids come and go, no big deal. This thread was about the old versus new coaching staff at Rose Hill.

I hate to burst your bubble rhfan and Don King but I have absolutely nothing to do with Rose Hill, so don't include me by stating you guys! I am very offended and you should address me as maam or gal.

Here is some insight to Russell. Kidwell has two former High School standouts that were also College Players in Parsley and Skaggs. Instead of using them to his benefit he will probably pick option "Z" , which is to allow "Bench Daddies" to coach in his system and will probably condone them to coach Russell players in AAU Basketball. I guess when the going gets tough the tough transfers to other schools like Russell. I am very concerned for all the schools in this region and in a couple of other regions because of what has been allowed to go on over the years.

I have some keen insight to some other programs as well, such as Russell, Raceland, Ashland, Boyd County, Fairview and Greenup. :thumb:

The era of the Hair Dresser/Boys Cheer Leader and Waterboy is finally over. Rose Hill made a wise choice in Coach Watkins. You will never see or hear of him physically grabbing or slamming players because of missed free throws or jumpshots. Instead he will teach the proper fundamentals of the game to them. Everyone in the region knows what took place and the area coaches were in mourning upon hearing of the route to the Toyota plant area and to Blazer Blvd.The only real obstacle is to undo the severe damage caused by the Zohan and Bobby Boucher. Whoever is responsible for making the changes at Rose Hill should be applauded. They now have former college players as Head Coaches in Baseball, Football and Girls Basketball. Many High Scool teams have coaches both head and assistants that have never played on an organized official team...it just doesn't make sense. How can someone coach something that they never played, or do it justice? Rose Hill should move quickly and find a coach for the boys basketball team and also a top notch Athletic Director. If Rose Hill can land another former college player to coach the boys then that would be a remarkable feat or in Rose Hill's case a divine miracle. Since I am woman of predictions, I will predict with these three outstanding coaches that Rose Hill will see an increase in enrollment and within 4 years if these coaches stay put, Rose Hill will be in the top five of the region in all these sports. By the way, I heard that Rose Hill was not the only school in need of an Athletic Director :sssh:

Jeff is staying in the Ashland area for at least another two years. The name that keeps coming up that I hear is Hundley but who knows, BC has went through alot, they need some stability with a young to mid age coach that will give a high level of commitment to the boys program.

No, I think they boycotted Rose Hill over the Faulkners transferring from Russell to Rose Hill. I really don't know what that was over, after all the Russell boys landed 2 or 3 players from Rose Hill. When I look back at it. It was a good swap. Back to Back Regional Titles for Rose Hill and one Regional Title for Russell Boys.......getting back to Parsley....I was informed that He was a pastor at a Church in Ohio. Has nothing to do with where he lives but I thought he might just already live there.

No wonder you are such a good promoter. My head is spinning after reading this post. The bottom line is that Rose Hill will have a team as FreeAtLast has stated and they will be good in a couple of years. They have alot of athleticism coming up in the system.

Don King, I have aquestion for you. Maybe it is blind left hook. Here is my question: Isnt the enrollment at Rose Hill based on getting newcomers? They are a private school the last time I checked. Here is the blind left hook: It will be hard to label those going to Ashland as newcomers since they have been going back and forth to Ashland since February. Get your gloves up. :fight:
