Erin Carmack broke the scoring record, boys or girls, at Deming in a 57-56 loss at Menifee County. The old scoring record was held by her mother Adrienne Graves Carmack. She had 2,146 points.

I was at the game and it was a special moment. She seemed humbled and only focussed on playing the game. That was impressive. Menifee stopped the game and acknowledged her and her mother. It was a nice moment. And a great game to beat all. Both teams played hard. Congrats to Erin. Well deserving. I think she got the game ball which I thought was nice of Menifee. I could be wrong. Anyone know? Regardless, she deserved the honor.

Just a tremendous accomplishment. A great young lady on and off the court! She will someday join her mother in the 10th Region Girls Basketball Hall-of-Fame!
