  1. And now she has led her team to the All A Region Championship! The first for Menifee County since 1993! Good luck at the All A state tourney Ashton! And your team Menifee County!
  2. Senior Ashton Woodard from Menifee County grabbed her 1000th rebound recently and scored her 2000th point tonight in a win against Powell County! Congratulations Ashton! Great accomplishment!
  3. On senior night, February 5, 2013 Menifee county senior point guard Paige Warren scored her 1000th point. The same night her team defeated Rowan County 48-44. Paige had 25 points including going 17-20 from the free throw line. She plays as hard as any kid I have seen. Congratulations to Paige on the accomplishment.
  4. If you get a chance to watch Menifee you will rewarded with being able to watch Drew Swartz. He plays with so much heart. Fantastic scorer and defender. He elevates his teams play when he is on the court. They just play harder because he leads them to do so. Coach Swartz will have them ready. If a few younger players can step up and contribute this year then Menifee could sneak up and beat anyone. Looking forward to watching this team!
  5. Paige Warren, a junior point guard playing for Menifee County had an incredible game against Rose Hill. First round of the 16th region All A she scored 26 points, 10 rebounds, 15 assists, and 12 steals. And to go along with that, she had no turnovers! Just thought it was noteworthy. Double double is pretty cool. Triple double is fantastic, but not many quadruple doubles going on out there! Congrats to Paige and her teammates! They are in the All A 16th region championship game Thursday night against Raceland!
  6. New Coach after losing Justin Moore. Lost a lot to graduation. If they work hard and develop a bench that can contribute, they can be successful. Good luck to them and the new coach.
  7. They just need to keep working hard and play together. Good group of young kids.
  8. I was in attendance. Both teams played well and hit numerous potential game winning shots. There were numerous 3's that were hit by both teams that you would have thought would have sealed the victory. But neither team wanted to give in. Great game and great finish. Congrats to both teams. Great job Menifee in pulling out a win. The last play was fantastic.
  9. Number 14 for Bath is Ginny Adams. She is a player and does everything she can for her team to help them win. Congrats to Russell. Congrats to Bath on their efforts.
  10. Final. Super exciting game last night at Frenchburg. Both teams playing hard. Estill hits game winner with 5 seconds left before Mullins from Menifee banks a running three from about 28 feet at the buzzer to give Menifee the win. Great job both teams.
  11. I am guessing East Carter by 11. They are playing really well.
  12. Raceland played well. Menifee started off well then ran out of steam. Raceland stayed steady and was firing on all cylinders in the second half. Congrats to Raceland. Good luck to Menifee.
  13. Great job Morgan Co and Coach Brown!! Good early season win!! Congrats!!
  14. Rowan picks up where they left off. Good way to start off a season.
  15. Over and Back thank you for that post. Very informative. And again that top 4 is pretty much agreed with. The bottom ones once you look at that list, any thing can happen on any given night. The one thing I see lacking from most of these teams is depth. Most teams have the 2 or three kids that could play anywhere, but its the 6th 7th and 8th kids coming off the bench that hurts. Thats where the top 4 or 6 really pull away from the rest of the pack. I think we will see a lot of close first half games this year, with the deeper squads pulling away in the second half due to depth. Comments?
  16. I agree with you Nash. It is Rowan County's region to lose. Somebody has to knock them off the mountain. Teams 4-16 are going to be a tossup. One can only hope for a sleeper to come out of those and make some noise in a year where as a whole the region may be down a bit. Thanks for the response.
  17. I know these types of threads get put up all the time. But with official practices starting in a little over a month how do you all think the 16th region will shaoe up? Try ranking the teams and make some predictions.
  18. Find a way to get balanced scoring after losing a tremendous player in Leslie Eagle. With the way the lady Cougars work hard, and Coach Brown pushes them, they can still be very competitive this year. Keep working hard ladies and good luck this year!!
  19. Congrats Leslie. You worked hard and deserve all the best. Union is lucky to have you.
  20. Menifee County's Chelsea Williams signed her letter of intent to play for Asbury College. She joins a great class of signees. Lakin Griffin of Elliott and Kayla Webb of Montgomery County. Great class for Asbury. Congrats to Chelsea. She was a tremendous player at Menifee County.
  21. Congratulations to both teams and coaches as it really was a great game. I think Flemings depth hurt Menifee the most. Good luck to Fleming in the region.
  22. Final from Mt. Olivet. Good win for Deming on their senior night. They were up 21 points to start the fourth quarter at 53-32. Good comeback for Menifee but just could not get it done. Congrats to Deming. Three Menifee fans got ejected after the coach got a technical. It was a sight. But exciting.
  23. Emmons is one of the best shooters I have seen. And she works so hard to get open. Reminds me a lot of Rip Hamilton and Allen Iverson the way she cuts off screens. You know defenses know about her, and plan on stopping her, but her release is so quick and has such an good stroke she still hits 8 or 10 3's a game. Great young lady and congrats to her and her team.
  24. Montgomery County will be wearing pink uniforms. I say Montgomery County 68 Rowan County 51.
