I am a fan, and I saw them play Bath County, and at times looked real good. Seem to be playing better as of late. There defense is coming around. I still think the Walker kid even as a freshman will be the key towards the end. She is improving.

No. She is a senior this year. Chelsea Williams. This could be a good year for them.

If they do they never use it. But last year they had an 8th grader who looked 6 foot. Her name was Chelsea Walker. So if she develops as a freshman the future looks bright.

They need to be more than one dimensional. Too many 3 point shots. If they can develop an inside game and then free up some open shots outside, they could contend. Fun to watch.

Change regions!! They play in a tough one. But they are coming along, and Coach Cornett has got them believing in her system. They are improved from last year and they just need to keep improving. They need a few more consistent shooters. The effort is there and the defense is there. Good luck ladies!!

Develop an inside game other than Eagle driving. She has to be more assertive. Look to score more. She is a tremendous athlete and player. If one or two more players step up and knock down some shots and get that crucial rebound and put back they could really be strong. They have tenacious defense. Well coached. Good luck girls!!!

Menifee should be a lot more competitive this upcoming season. Extremely athletic, but still do not have the size as far as height. Still may be one year away from getting everything they deserve, but this year will be much more fun for the kids and coaches. Coach Moore has done an outstanding job. Win or lose, Menifee should be fun to watch because of their athleticism and quickness. Good luck to Coach Moore and his Wildcats. And to all the small schools around the state. And the 16th region.

They need to get some better guard play. Take a little pressure off of their post player. She can score at will, but needs some more one on ones. Better guard play could get it for her. They should be as good if not better this upcoming season. Congratulations to coach Jones on a great program.

If anyone saw the all state team selections in the Herald Leader the other day it was interesting who made the team from the 16th region.

Crimedoc you are crazy. Chelsea who? She only has over 1800 points as a junior, averaged 23 a game as a junior, led her team to its first winning season in over 10 years, was ranked in the state all year for free throw shooting, averaged 5 assists per game, 3 steals per game, and was required to do everything for her team. Now why on Earth Crimedoc would you mention a name like that? Luckily she plays for Menifee because she probably would not even make half of the other teams in the sixteenth because of all the power houses they have in that region. She could be a great reserve point guard on somebodys jv I guess. Seriously she never gets any credit and it is ridiculous. She deserves more recognition.

I was at the game and it was a special moment. She seemed humbled and only focussed on playing the game. That was impressive. Menifee stopped the game and acknowledged her and her mother. It was a nice moment. And a great game to beat all. Both teams played hard. Congrats to Erin. Well deserving. I think she got the game ball which I thought was nice of Menifee. I could be wrong. Anyone know? Regardless, she deserved the honor.
