Yes, Scott won by 10 last week at the Holy Cross Tourney. They just didn't bring it from the jump yesterday... They had to win this one when it counted and just got out played.

They will be ready when it's time... The guard play will get better with game play. I haven't seen them this year but know the boys will come through. Should be a good one tonight against Newport.

I second that... Scott simply got out played and out muscled last night. The 20 + turn-overs didn't help either. Almost like they slept through the second half, scored 13? second half. Cooper played a very tough smart game. Scott will bounce back.:idunno:

They are pretty good... Holy Cross was scrappy tonight. It really wasn't as close at it seemed... Scott was up by 10+ at the end but got a little careless with the ball once Holy Cross tighten the press.

Scott was down 31-19 at half, and held Boone to 6 in the 3rd period... It was battle throughout the 4th. Pouncy and Jackson did great. Jackson was in or close to double digits... The Starting five play very well together. It was a party for sure in Taylor Mill... :dancingpa

That was the toughest shot to watch rim in out in my life... I was so proud that Johnson bounced back from that and made the difference in the OT's... Great win for Holmes, Covington and all of Northern KY, as they said NKY couldn't do it... JUST DID! Love ya Dawgs...:dancingpa

Glad they are back on track... Recently to the Scott and Hazard games and they didn't look like the team I knew... Now it's to winning the district, will be tough at Holy Cross.

The little Tar Heels 9U is the team to beat in state this year... So far this year they've been in 3 tournaments... Cincy, Indy and BCI this weekend and won all three tournaments...

I'll have to say Scott by 10 pulling away in the 4th.

Most definitely, I spoke with his Dad (Ed) after the game and told him to keep his head up, he gave the team the chance to even be in that spot... Even UK could have won if they didn't miss their last two free-throws today (Stevens)

Tonights game was all about the free-throw line down the stretch... If Holmes makes their last one before the OT then Scott doesn't get to the line to miss their last one before the OT.

I second that one... I just couldn't believe how well they played tonight, after just watching them lose to Dixie @ home last week...

Very bad call... You let the kids determine the game and swallow the whistle in a case like this... If you foul someone it should be called but they completely missed that one...

What I saw with Holmes tonight is a lot of careless passes and silly turnovers... Scott is good but no way should they have been in this game... Holmes had chances to blow it open, but Scott didn't go away. Pittman and Riley being in foul trouble didn't help either.

Holmes should/will win vs Cov. Cath, but stranger things have happened in that gym... Be careful just giving them the win... No let up Dawgs... Let's Go!

I think it's way too early to say secret weapon at this point... He's good and will be great if he continues to do the right things... I wouldn't say 25 average a game with Summit but it might have been around 15 to 18 a game... 6th grade Summit went 34-0 winning it all and 7th grade he left to go to Two Rivers... (Maybe 12 to 15 a game that year)... Sound be interesting when he does get the call...
