Size wise the schools are very similar. Talent wise is another subject. :lol:

This is not a totally true statement. Highland Christian school is located in downtown Maysville for grades K -8. Harrison County has a small Christian school as well but right off the top of my head, I can't remember the name. As for this thread, it is my experience that in "some" instances kids are said to be "home schooled" because they have problems following rules in public schools. This is a way of "quitting" without it being labeled that. Under no circumstances should these kids be allowed to play sports because they don't have to follow the grading policies or the discipline policies of the school district. We all know that some of these bad kids could be very gifted athletes.

Hope the boys from Deming pull this one out. They deserve it!! Good Luck black Devils!!!! Mt.Olivet will be empty tonight.

If this game happens, it is Mason County by as many as Chris O'hearn wants. But the weather man is predicting snow and you know how Fleming County likes to cancel big games. :lol:

Okay, so I'm understanding that it was too cold to go to Elliott Co.on a bus to play ball, but it wasn't too cold to have practice at school and then the boys drive to Maysville in cars to watch a game. For goodness sake they would have been playing in a nice warm gym, not out on the football field. Evidently, Fleming Co decided that it was in their best interest not to play this game. There were a lot of schools that took Friday off because of the cold weather but most played their games on Friday night.

Deming beat Fleming County this year it was bad weather that night too. It was raining.:fire:

You reckon they will pray for snow on the 27th when they to Mason Co to actually play? Maybe they were just scouting.

According to what I'm hearing Pawsat is out for a week with a concussion. Don't know if that week is up on Friday not but he won't play in this game.

This is an excuse. If you don't get up for the defending state champions coming into your house to play then you don't get up for any game.

I'm am so proud of the Royals! You played awesome. I thought there were a couple of game changers tonight. When Pawsat got hurt the Royals were up by 11 points. Neal is a force on the inside and was missed! Jordan Gilbert played well off the bench and what can you say about Middleton's play? The wait for the injured fan at the end of the game definitely had an impact. How could it not? This was a great high school basketball game and could have gone either way at the end. I think that you proved tonight that tradition never graduates!

I tend to agree with you about this Butterfly. I think Hinson is the better coach of the 2 and since he was never head coach at Deming, you can't compare the records. He was assistant under Aaron Massey. As for the altercation between the 2, there were numerous people standing around videotaping it with their cell phones. It wouldn't suprise me if it doesn't end up on youtube in a few days. :lol:

What was up with the coaches arguing with each other after the game, until someone separated them! Come on guys you are the adults and need to set the example for the kids! As for the kids, this was a good game. Deming played better defense. What I don't understand is why St. Pat stood and held the ball for 2 minutes at the end of the first half when they were behind. This was very boring to watch!

I don't know Goldie. From what I've seen lately, the Royals seem to play better on the road. But everytime I've been to Georgetown over the years with several different opponents, they seem to have the refs in their pocket. Not that they need that of course with their "new" team.

It's funny that everyone is complaining about rankings. They don't mean anything!! Congratulations Elliott County, I personally think you deserve it. I don't think anyone wants my personal opinion about Scott Co.

Holy cow Mamaw! That sounds like something I would say! The last I heard Rex will be out 4 weeks.

I didn't say he was the best player overall, just for that particular game. The overall best player would have to be Russ Middleton. But Friday nights game wasn't one of Russ's best.
