:fight:There was a big crowd Saturday night at Mason County. Billy G was in the house . Seemed like a regional tournament atmosphere to me. If this crowd attends this years Regional weekend games people won't get in the gym. I think it will be a sad situation. There will be a lot of mad people outside in the parking lot. I would suggest they have all their security outside. There will probably be some trouble. Whoever made this decision would be a good study for someone. Where is the common sense here?:ylsuper:

What is this about? Didn't realize the state champ was crowned until March and according my calendar it is still February.:confused:

Officals should control the behavior in games but not try to determine the outcome. I have seen No perfect teams play high school basketball but when the foul total is like 8 to 1 then it is pretty obvious where the refs loyalities lie. I would hope that all anyone wants is a FAIR, consitantly called game. Too many times this year, I have seen games that were not of this sort and I think that is the reason why many fans get so upset. There are currently no standards that hold officals accountable and someone out there needs to remember that all of these kids work too hard throughout the year to have a game determined by the official.

Changed schools when he was little. One of 4 kids who have gone to 3 different schools, Augusta, Bracken and Mason. Don't really know the reason. Very nice family by the way. Whatever the reason, it's good to see him being successful.

Last game if I'm not mistaken, Mason was missing a starter. Downing, I believe. That usually throws any team off somewhat. Again, just a brother's opinion.

I don't think there are any guarentees in life are there. I seriously doubt anyone from either school is taking that for granted. After Mason's loss to Clark Co. last year and Elliott's loss to Rose Hill in the all A, I would say the people talking about a re-match in Rupp are not connected to either team. Of course this is just 1 brothers opinion.

Ouch! I heard one of the twins got hurt last night in the loss to Berea. Does anyone know if he played or have any stats?

No one mentioned that 3 Mason Co. players were recognized by McDonald's as All-American nominees. Miller, Setty and Desarae Chambers. Congrats! It looks like the Maysville crew is back in the UK fold.:dancingpa I agree with a previous poster who stated that there was no way Montgomery County could have held tonight's crowd. You must be from the 11th region. He would be at the bottom of my list from region 10. Another one that I wouldn't want to see come through the door is Hudson. I've seen these 2 ref numerous games with different teams involved in the 10th region and just haven't been impressed. I just like to watch good basketball games and don't really have a specific team I root for. I have seen a couple of good refs though but I can't remember their names. I was impressed with a woman I saw from the 16th region. I've known Jerry Thornsbury for years. He usually does a great job! His son Eric isn't too bad as well. :thumb:

I agree. It would be an easy win for Harrison Co. or Nicholas Co. for that matter in the 38th district if one of those boys should get hurt. I'm sorry I didn't realize that Freshman ball was all that important. I would think that making it to THE regional tournament or even winning district would mean a lot more to the school and the money it would bring in would be especially nice for all the athletic programs at Deming, which in the long hall would benefit alot more than the 4 other kids (earlier in the thread it was stated the there are only 7 on the team and Caldwell plays varsity as well) who play on Deming's freshman team.

I am kind of suprised that Deming has moved the twins down to play in the Freshman tourny. I would think that with them being such an integral part of the varsity black devils that they wouldn't take a chance on them getting hurt. Deming has the chance to actually compete for a district title for the first time in quite a while with their win over Harrison earlier in the season. Don't be stupid folks, compete for the one that really counts! An interesting side note. I recently heard that the twins were going to play on an all star team this Summer with Setty, Pawsat and Gilbert from Mason Co. and 2 kids from Lexington. This should be quite a team and a fun one to watch.

Just saw on tv that Mason Co is out of school tomorrow.

Big snow storm coming it may snow the game out. Better call the school sometime in the afternoon to see if they are still coming. Thats a long drive. For good steaks I would suggest Tumble Weed on the AA Highway. (Just up from Krogers)
