Is hooking a defender with your off hand no longer an offensive foul? -

No I really was not to be honest. If anything, Kyle has been accused in the past of not being aggressive enough. My questions are legit however as I do see things not called at one end and called at the other. Leaves one scratching their head as to what truly is a foul around the basket and what is not. Oh well, hopefully the Birds show up tonight and play with the same spirit and grit that they have played the last few games with and they finally earn themselves a W. -

IMO, nothing wrong with getting your money's worth on a foul especially around the basket. A pretty good coach once told me that there are no "and 1's" near the basket. Now my question to you, if Wilson or any other big man is physical like you say, does the opposite not hold that perhaps they should be whistled? This has been my argument for most of the year. I have witnessed Finfrock and Hebel both take a lot of body contact on shots around the basket with no call and then when something similar happens at the other end, the whistle blows. I have also heard it said by several officials to the Highlands kids that this is not football. So where does the line get drawn with what is "good" aggressive play and what is "bad" aggressive play? It would appear to be a very fine line that is not being viewed consistently. -

Thought you were still calling games at the middle school level. How many times have you watched him play and what is your definition of "very aggressive"? -

And there it is. The officials edict about the "bully-Birds". Serious question now since you are an official. It would appear that you have a pre-conceived notion of Finfrock being overly aggressive. Can you define for me what you mean by his being very aggressive? Based on your response I will have some follow up questions for you. -

And I was being sarcastic to your first response in regards about Coach Listerman. Ryan Schrand is a good guy and an excellent coach who has found a system where his guys can be very successful and exploit mismatches. -

Love all of the excuses being tossed about regarding this game and why it was so close. Could it be that as I have said since the start that this team is going to play you hard for 32 minutes and are not going to quit. Perfect example of that was last night. I don't care who Holy Cross played and who they were going to play, Highlands showed once again that they are capable on any given night. They are not an elite team in the region, but their heart, grit and never say die attitude are certainly fun to watch. Would also love to know how two big guys can constantly get mugged under the basket and nothing gets called and then a guy drives to the basket and never gets touched but the whistle blows because of the anticipation that something was going to happen. Also love that when things get a little intense around the basket that the first guys talked to are the "bully-birds". Love it. As for the coach comments, please. The man at least shows he has a pulse and the kids rally around his enthusiasm. I guess Schrand's demeanor is better by whining the entire time about anything and everything. Keep working hard boys and good things will come. -

As I said after this game, Snapp feels the pressure and knows he NEEDS the kid to have a chance the second time around. -

Oh the bully-birds were more than happy to mix it up. As I said, not going to back down from trash talk and cheap shots. -

Who called anyone a thug? That is a noun is it not? The word was thuggery. You may choose another word, but it was pretty obvious that things are/were done with the intent of trying to "intimidate" and it did not work I guess now did it? Time to move on and get ready for Holy Cross. -

Hear what things? You trying to stereotype for us? What does it have to do with Newport and Covington? You trying to say something? -

Take your blinders off there son. Perhaps you should get your stories straight before you get on here and spout off as if you know everything that happens in NKY and no one else does. I know what I saw and I stand by what I said, period end of story. You can try to sugar coat things however you like, but it is what it is. -

So was Noe not on the football team this past season? There are obviously reasons the kid is not playing, but that is the coaches decision and I will leave it at that because I am not going to try and drag any kid in the program down. -

You mention putting Noe in the game, is he not a football player? You called out the football kids, of which he is one also. The problem with this team is not so much they cannot shoot, but some are unwilling to take them for whatever reason and others simply take one poor shot after another. The two biggest issues however are way to many turnovers and the free throw shooting has been absolutely abysmal. If/when they cut down on the silly turnovers and start making 60 to 70 percent of their free throws they are going to start winning some games. Will agree with one thing you said for sure and that is they play hard from the opening tap to the final horn. They just need things to go their way a few times and that confidence builds and then you have something. I said it from the beginning that this team is not tops in the region, but they are going to give maximum effort and compete for 32 minutes which is all that you can ask of the kids in the program right now. The tide and attitude is changing in the Fort when it comes to basketball and they have the right group of guys in charge to make something happen over the next several years. -
Austin Peay pulls offer for Ky player

Were they on this kid prior to this camp or was the offer made simply because of this one day performance? -
In Utah, married with a couple of kids I believe.

Escorted from the gym at halftime of a game at the Ashland Invitational Tournament. That escort was from law enforcement. Not sure what exactly occurred, but if the law had to escort you out then it obviously was not a situation of kids being kids.
