  1. I like the idea of seeing our best 80 players getting attention rather than just 40.
  2. I really don't mean anything by it. I just thought that it was an interesting fact. I do not get into the whole public versus private, just stating an observation.
  3. Congrats to all the state champions, but anyone notice that all the state champions besides Central were from Independent School Districts, or private schools.
  4. Holy Cross has more speed than you think. This should turn out to be one of the best games of the week.
  5. It goes by head to head first. Doss beat Valley and Moore head to head so that makes them second. Valley beat Moore head to head, so that makes Moore 4th and Valley 3rd.
  6. What is the best football stat software that is being used?
  7. Valley High School in Louisville 1. Yes 2. Yes, but special teams are considered dead once the ball is caught. 3. 25-30 each day, but the weather was horrible for most of week one and Shively sporting goods forgetting to send off our equipment to be re-conditioned didn't help (they left it in their back room tagged). Due to this we had 4 to5 kids who could not properly fit into helmets so they could not practice. Next year will be better when we can go around late April or May.
  8. Believe it or not this is a very tough district. Any team could be beat by anybody, so to say Fairdale and Western will be the top two teams is really ridiculous. Moore improved, Doss is always well coached with athletes, Valley could be tough with Hayden coming back, Western will also be good, but scheduling will either make or break them, and Fairdale returns a good wr, rb, and qb but lines are questionable. I would be willing to bet that almost all these district games will be very close and come down to the end of the game and seeding going down to the last week of district play.
  9. Actually they hired the defensive coordinator that has been an assistant at the school for 7 years.
  10. I will not use names, but Valley is between the current offensive coordinator and the current defensive coordinator.
  11. Anyone hear of assistants being hired yet?
  12. Yeah, but those schools don't have the population of a Shawnee High, where it is not only tough to get the kids going, but also it is hard to find assistant coaches.
  13. It is not Dan it is his brother Ted. Interesting to see how a man of his age will relate to those kids.
  14. I know the whole story and the whole situation, all I said was that I felt Farmer was more deserving.
  15. I would assume that Wolfe got the job, but I would really have like to see someone like Lakunta Farmer get the job. Just another case of Jefferson County and being about who you know, not what you have been working towards. It's not right for a guy to leave for 2 years and be away from coaching (especially leaving in the middle of the year) and get a job over a guy who has been working hard and actually making a difference in players lives.
  16. I'd be surprised by this hire, Wolfe quit in the middle of the year, which if you want to never be hired by the JCPS mafia again, leave in the middle of the year.
  17. I think that Curtis Higgins would be one of their choices. He and Redman are longtime buddies and I am sure he has had some say into who will replace him. He was an assistant there and I think this job is what lured him here from Trigg.
  18. I think that the response was meaning Jeffersonville, but accidently put Jtown. Coach Weiter is not going anywhere, he did a great job this past season and has a lot coming back.
  19. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To improve over 2009 they need to beat St. Xavier. Who was the previous offensive coordinator under Coach Nichols before he started calling the plays? I cannot recall his name or where he is at now. I heard over the weekend from some Manual parents that he may be in line for the job. Sorry this is the statement I was answering
  20. Gary Weiter I believe, and he is at J-Town.
  21. It just shows the bad decision making of the administration at Moore. I would have a hard time hiring anyone who has been forced to forfeit games. They will learn the hard way.
  22. I thought the same thing but apparently a lot a problems have come about at Shawnee.
