They should have to forfeit the games, because the AD did not do his job. Coach Boyd knew the students played at Shawnee, and the AD only sent papers to Iroquois. Meanwhile, the reason those kids were at Iroquois was because they thought Coach Boyd was getting the job at Iroquois. Those kids are eligible because they did have a change of residence, but you have to do the right paperwork, instead of playing stupid. In essence, they cheated and got what they deserved, but it is sad that because of adults stupidity the other kids on this team have to suffer. On the other hand though that is what you get when you hire a person who is out for his personal gain, rather than the kids.

Region 2 could be shaken up once the ruling of Western, who has to forfeit up to the Valley game, is official. Western and Atherton chose not to play, so each will be given a district win and district loss. This puts both Atherton and Western at 2-3 in the district, so as long as Western beats Shawnee they will be third. Therefore Valley and Fairdale are playing for the non-cheater district championship this friday.

Why should Valley have to cater to Fairdale? Valley already could not play against PRP, because of their tragedy, so how is it fair that Valley only gets to play 8 games? Play two games in one week, its football, not boxing!

Word is that Stinson is going to be fired, do not know the validity. There are players and witnesses that said he ran them 45 minutes without water because they would not run hard.

Didn't Willie Foster leave Waggener because he was wanting to become a principal.

I have talked to Doug Preston and asked him if he has shown interest, his reply was "I wish people would quit making ridiculous rumors"

I believe he coached with Western's Doug Preston for a few years, then took the Morgan County job for one year, and now he's at Iroquois. Good luck to him. If he can get some of the young basketball players they have, then he might be able to get something going. The problem is going to be getting a staff and keeping them there. Shawn did as good a job as anyone could at Iroquois and it wore him to complete exhaustion, not to mention he had a hard time finding coaches to help.

I am not saying Catlett is getting the job, because I do not know, but his contract was not terminated like Coach Boyd's was. He and the administration at Ballard agreed he should resign. (From the article in Courier Journal) So he would not have to sit out the one year period.

The future on the offensive line looks promising returning 4 starters, and one who rotated in and started a few games. The Vikings still have Gerwan Brewer who is a multi-talented threat, who really should have at least been honorable mention all-state, especially when you lead Jefferson County in scoring. Defensive Line is also looking good with the return of the entire D-line who were sophmores, and a freshman. The loss of Brownlee will hurt on both sides of the ball. The secondary looks strong returning all starters, and Kendrick Lancaster is one of the hardest hitting Free Safeties I have seen in a long time. Inside Linebackers are a huge question mark, losing both starters.
