Oldham County 65 Grant County 33
This happens every year. Everyone may start to realize that those "A" schools really support their teams and play pretty good basketball!

Collins 69 South Oldham 63
A well played game by both teams. Congratulations to Coach Simpson and his Dragons for playing well and hanging in there. Collins is very talented and will be a tough out in this tournament.

Gallatin County 56 Simon Kenton 55
Probably the most amazing comeback I have ever seen! Congratulations to Jon and all the Wildcats for not giving up and especially to Jordan Morris for not hesitating to take the game winning shot. This team truly trusts one another and that's a compliment to Coach Jones and his staff. Good luck in the next one against a very athletic Collins team.

Rianna Gayheart commits to NKU!
Congrats to Rianna. This should be a good fit.

Walton Verona's Coach Miller resigns
WOW! What is up with this? He is no doubt one of the best young coaches in the northern Kentucky area. If I am not mistaken, he only lost one outstanding player (Kelli Dixon) from this year's class 'A" and regional championship team. He will be hard to replace and I would guess there will be a lot of people interested in this job.

Coach Cravens Steps Down
He is a class guy and will be missed no doubt.

George Rogers Clark / Oldham County predictions 3/16
Best time for an upset is in the first game of the tournament.

Dupont Manual 48 Bowling Green 36
Manual is so athletic. It is their tournament to win or lose.

Walton Verona 40 Anderson County 39
Just trying to set the facts straight to end all the speculation. Once again, the coaches had nothing to do with the selections.

Walton Verona 40 Anderson County 39
There was a committee formed by the host school that selected the All Tournament team. The A. D.'s and coaches had nothing to do with it. No coache nominated anyone. There is no formula. The committee was not required to pick someone from each team. Please don't blame it on the coach if your kid didn't make it.

Bowling Green 58 Walton-Verona 32
Congratulations to Coach Miller, the players and the fans. You represented the 8th region well. Tough draw playing a talented Bowling Green team at "home". They bussed in all off their kids (elementary-HS) as a so called field trip. It made for quite an atmosphere for the opening game of the state.

Oldham County 34 Henry County 32
I know the defenses were great but..............what has happened to teams' scoring come tournament time? As they say, offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. I know coaches want the kids to value every possession, but the game would be more exciting in my opinion if the games were more up and down with more scoring.

Spencer County 60 North Oldham 52
I am not sure Spencer should be considered a small school. They don't play in the Class A tournament. Does anyone know their enrollment?

Walton Verona 40 Anderson County 39
Congrats to the girls and the staff. I really don't think they care who they are playing in the big dance. While they only lose one player for next year, they have the talent to repeat. It won't be easy since the regional tournament is at Anderson. Gallatin did a great job of hosting the regional tournament; many thanks to Jon Jones and Linda Edmondson. The crowds were tremendous especially from Walton Verona and Owen County, the 2 "A" schools. I always wonder why South Oldham and Anderson don't follow their outstanding team any better than they do.

Anderson County 47 Owen County 44
Owen had a great run and should contend again next season. Congratulations to them.

Walton Verona 47 South Oldham 44 (Overtime)
I like the Bearcats in this one. Should be a good game. Can WV contain Syd Brown? I think that will be the key. Good luck to Walton Verona.

Anderson County 75 Oldham County 50
I think Anderson may be a bit better this year than last, giving them creedit for the experience they have. I give Tony a lot of credit for playing a brutal schedule with a young team. The kids will get stronger as mentionioned above and that will help. They do understand the game. When kids get a driver's license sometimes their priorities change if you know what I mean. This may not be the case with the group Anderson has however.

Montgomery County 54 Campbell County 45
Major upset or not?

Owen County 38 Simon Kenton 36
Wow! Welcome to BGP. I wonder how they will do next season without Syd.

Anderson County 75 Oldham County 50
Anderson is so young. I just wonder how much they will improve over the next couple of years. They are pretty good right now.
-
Walton Verona 69 Gallatin County 46
Nice win as a "road" game for the WV girls in the regional.
