final from Bourbon County in the girls' 10th Region.

Congrats to the Lady Indians!!

I will ask this question in this thread as well; How many years in a row does this put the Lady Indians in the finals?

7th straight year. The last time they didn't make it was back in 2004 when they lost to eventual champion Paris in the first round!

Wow. Is that some kind of record?

Good year Coach Cravens and the lady Camels.

Major upset or not?

Probably not much of one. I thought Campbell was the second best in the region, but with Montgomery's tradition & solid team, not much of a surprise.

Consecutive trips to the 10th Region finals

Montgomery County (7) 2005-2011

Mason County (7) 1982-1988

Paris (5) 1977-1981

George Rogers Clark (5) 1998-1992

Montgomery County (4) 1996-1999

Lady Camels were up by 6 in the 3rd quarter and went 2-2:30 minutes without scoring and had a 1 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. Then at about 4:41 left in the 4th quarter the game was tied. Montgomery then pretty much won the game on free throws as Campbell missed shots or turned over the ball.

Both teams had chances to take big leads in the game, but turnovers or missed shots kept the game close. Both teams played hard.

Campbell did not shoot well from the free throw line in my opinion when they had the chance.

I will have to say the foul situation was a little uneven. It is hard to believe there were only 5 fouls called on Montgomery County in the 2nd half.

2 fouls on Campbell Co. came from great acting by Montgomery Co. 2 flops were bought by the refs as charging fouls. Montgomery must have a great acting class.

Congratulations to the Lady Camels and their followers on a fine season!
