I was wondering the same thing. They squeked by St. X and then lost to Eastern I think (which is a good team) but now they lost to Seneca. How good is Male?

Bath has a legit chance to make it to Richmond. They beat Rose Hill by about 20 earlier this year.

Yeah I think if only one of them makes it to Rupp that one may win the award. Although Mason is a heavy favorite to win the 10th it wouldn't look too great for Miller losing in the region two years in a row despite being one of the top ranked teams in the state.

I think Novasel being in foul trouble allowed Miller to take over. But yeah, I was wondering the same thing he settled for too many jumpers in the first 3 quarters. Sometimes he will disappear for stretches like the Scott Co. game (granted he was in fould trouble). Mack never disappears for strecthes.

Well, Miller will get it because he signed with UK. However, I think voters should give serious consideration to Mack and Hopson. When is the last time Kentucky has produced a 5 star player or better yet a top 10 ranked player nationally by Scout and/or Rivals (Hopson). Also Bryan Station was very very bad before Mack came on the scene he has really helped turn that program around. It is a shame that voters are influenced by the UK recruits (i.e. Carrier, Stockton). Not saying Miller is in their class he is much better. I think all three should have a legit shot.

This is one of the most surprising scores I have heard all year. I admit I thought Elliott was a borderline top 10 team but now with zero quality wins I would have to drop them down to the 15-20 range.

Bath County to win and hopefully make it to Rupp by beating Rose Hill again.

I really should have gone to this game! I was going to go but I changed my mind. What are the chances of Bath County making it to Richmond? Haven't they beat Rose Hill already this year?

That is funny. I noticed Cantrell kept GRC's ranking high despite a loss to Rowan County. Wonder what he will do if the Indians win again? All kidding aside this should be an intense battle coming right down to the wire again. The Cardinals biggest concern should be Josh Clark and Jordan Stephens and the Indians biggest concern should be keeping them out of foul trouble and feeding them the ball.

Numerous rankings I have seen have Paintsville and Shelby Valley ranked very low. Cantrell has Paintsville #22 and Shelby Valley not ranked. Why is this? Both have one instate loss (Paintsville to Lex Cath @ LC without their pg Bundy and Valley @ J-town by 5). Shelby Valley also has wins over Male in eastern KY and DeSales in Louisville. They returned all 5 starters from a sweet 16 team. Paintsville has wins over Lincoln Co. and Tates Creek and they are coming off a blowout win over Anderson County. They also have one of the top guards in the state. I normally think the 15th region is very weak but I think this year these two squads are deserving of even being considered top 10 teams. Thoughts?

Station has the state's best team and maybe the best player, too!

I would not pressure Shelvin Mack and Bryan Station. Henry Clay tried it and got beat by a combined 67 points in two games. Billy Hicks was sitting right their a few rows in front of me scouting. I wonder if he will be able to adjust his gameplan if the Defenders burn the Cardinals for some easy layups early.

That is a valid point. Almost every level of every sport I know has their postseason at either a neutral venue or they have some sort of rotation.

I have read all of the threads on this subject dating back to last year. People who are anti-rotation and want the tournament to never leave Mason County have made the following two contradicting statements that are really confusing to me. It seems like a lot of people keep making the following predictions: 1. People from NKY are not going make the trip and the tournament's attendence will be drastically down. 2. The crowds are going to be so large that hundreds of people will be turned away at the door possibly even if they are early. My point is that if no one cares about the tournament and a lot of people just decide not to make the trip then how are people going to be turned away at the door? I wish people who are anti-rotation would pick a stance and stop going back and forth.
