Considering where the discipline issues were when Nick took the job to where they are now I would say it’s improved leaps and bounds. If it was such an issue before then get rid of him for it then not when the parents have an issue while he’s not there because he’s coaching all stars. Imagine if the administration at Frankfort took initiative on some of these parents when they acted a fool the last couple of years and corrected that behavior. The same adult that instigated the fight at Catholic was also thrown out of the district championship game this past season by officials. Maybe if that adult was reprimanded by the administration this issue could’ve been avoided but I believe the quote used by the principal was “I can’t run a school and worry about athletics too!” Then why all of a sudden do you care now? You’re a frankfort guy Deuce and you know this is wrong and unwarranted. When the replacement is hired we will see how you react. I mean he’s already quit on y’all in the middle of a season before so what’s their to lose right?

There was a fight between Frankfort parents and Lex Cath parents/players at a summer game a week and a half ago. None of the Frankfort players were involved. But the powers that be at Frankfort Independent Schools were looking for a reason to get rid of Nick because they have someone else in mind to have the job. It was an inside job from the get go. No loyalty downtown these days. #ReturnOfThePanthers though right?

Yes it is official. Bryan Station had a press conference at the school last night and announced it. Article about the hire on Kentucky.com this morning or you can find it on Josh Moore's twitter page. -
But you wouldn't take 5 National League Pennants in 10 years for your Cubs?

Boys if he gets an offer from UK it will be the "in state offer". Ive tried to explain this to you all before. "Dontaie, we like you think youre good enough to be on our roster. You can come in here and practice and be in our top 10-11 on the depth chart. We are always gonna recruit the best 10 players in the country and most likely you wont ever be above 3-4 on the depth chart at the guard spot. But if that's something you want to do and maybe by the time you're a junior or senior you will be getting bench minutes. Also, we aren't gonna offer you until the spring, we need to see which of the 7 guys we have offered signs with us, but we will have a spot for you. By the way feel free to come to our open gym with the guys and get up and down with them whenever you would like." Having said that it is in no way a knock on Allen or his ability. He obviously is a Division 1 player. Everyone knows that. I have witnessed first hand how Kentucky handles these situations. So if that's something he wants to do and try and overcome then by all means go to UK. I have a feeling though he wants more then that.

So let me get this straight a "Cubs" fan, since their are so many of them now, wants to resort to talking about the Braves of the 90's choking as a comeback? Well would you rather lose 100 games a year and be out of contention at the All Star Break for a decade or play in 5 World Series' in 10 years? If winning 5 National League Pennants is choking then I will take choking any time. Not to mention 2 of those World Series losses were to the Yankees who were also absolutely loaded, another to the Blue Jays who happened to win back to back World Series, and a game 7 1-0 extra inning loss to the Twins in what most people in baseball consider the greatest World Series ever. I mean if you are gonna come and talk trash at least be better at it. What team were you rooting for in the 90s I would be willing to bet it was the Braves or you may not have been alive or old enough to keep up with it then. Here is my guess.....Braves fan in the 90's, Red Sox fan 04-09, and now on to the Cubs. Awesome man. Go Sports!!

Open Job: Bryan Station

He is a Bryan Station alumni. Played on some of those good Bobby Washington teams along with Mike Allen. He did play college basketball at George Washington. As far as coaching. I know he has coached at the middle school level for years in Fayette County and helps run the Charlotte Court AAU program along with O’Reese Ivory. His son, Myles Morones, will be a returning sophomore this season and played a lot of minutes for the Defenders as a freshmen. To my knowledge he has never coached at the high school level as an assistant or head coach. The Bryan Station community and parents made a strong push for him over the last month or so on social media to get the job. Best of luck to Coach Hammonds. -

The Kentucky Boys and Girls Junior All Stars will also play the Indiana Junior All Stars in a home and home series. The game in Kentucky will be played on Saturday June 2nd at a site to be determined, probably somewhere in Louisville at 2:00 and 4:00. The game in Indiana will be played on Sunday June 3rd at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana at 2:00 and 4:00.

Well considering the guy that runs KY/OH is stuck in 1965 that’s no surprise they treat it as such. -

Most D1 kids "report to school" date is before the game. The difference is the Indiana kids tell their college coaches I will be there after the game. It means more to them. Youre telling me kids going to IU, Michigan State, and Purdue can get a couple extra days but kids going to mid majors cant? That's total crap! Skylar Potter is reporting to Wright State early in the week and then coming back to play in the games and practice the day before. If it meant something to the kids they would play. As a state we have to do a better job of making this game important again. That's on coaches, media, parents, and anyone else that cares about high school basketball in this state. But then again we live in an age where its more about the me then the we at every aspect. Its sad. Thank you to the 12 boys that are making the commitment to play in this game. How about we cheer for them and support them instead of criticizing the talent difference. Its obvious on paper that Indiana is more talented still no reason not to get behind the KY kids that are all in on this. Ok, rant over! -

The Indiana kids going to a D1 school have no issue reporting after the games. It’s a choice bottom line. -

Kunkel had a family emergency the night before that kept him from being able to attend the tryouts. He notified all parties involved with the tryout and explained the situation. At least he made an effort to inform people and didn't say "I don't want to play" or just didn't show up. -

The following kids were not at the tryouts. They either no showed or chose in advance not to participate. CJ Frederick Jake Walter Andrew Taylor Markelle Turner Jay Scrubb Curt Lewis Makes a difference when you don’t have those kids as an option to pick from.
