Since some think I only have problems with the big man, I'v made this thread to show that there are some serious things holding the Camels back from be a much better team. 1. Pat Nerl is not involved enough in the offense. I have been to every game except the first Montgomery game and the Greenup game and one thing that I notice is that there are NO designed plays for Nerl who is without a doubt their best scorer. He is basically always mismatched with smaller defenders but he never gets the opportunity. At the mason game Nerl had 4 straight poins then Code benches him. Why? Just when he begins to get in a rhythem he gets sat down? I have personally seen what happens when he gets into a rhythem, last year at home aginst Newport he was given the opportunity to shoot and he puts up 37. Making 7 to 9 threes I think. At least set a pick for the kid! 2. Turnovers. The Camels turn the ball over quite frequently due to trying to force passes and not making the smart easy ones. Two of the camel starters have 44 and 48 turnovers and the other 3 are in the high twenties. So their starting line-up alone is averaging around 12 turnovers per game. and no other player on the team that plays a decent amount has less thn 15 turnovers. 3. We get it. You wanna get the ball to Petey. But there is one problem. Once the ball goes in it doesnt come back out. Albrecht has only 6 assists on the season. I know he's a big man and not Jason Kidd but if there are 4 people around you, you have got to realize that there are people open on the perimeter. Mainly the Franzen's, Parks and Nerl. They have proven that when given the shot they can make the open jumper. So why not get the entry pass then toss it back out side and catch the defense off guard? Sounds like it would work to me. 4. Ill advised shots. One simple question. Why has Brady Jolly taken 28 three's thus far in the season? Thats more than both Ben and Andy Franzen and Parks combined. The Camels waste their trips up the floor when they take these shots. 5. BREAK A PRESS! Not only is it hard to watch but it burns time outs. And it could all be solved by one thing. LIFTING YOUR HEAD UP! Don't try to take it on your own, there are 5 players on the floor for a reason. This is one of the main reasons they turn the ball over they wait till the very last second to look up and then they just have to throw it to avoid the call or they have to call a time-out. 6. Your not Brossart. Code you don't have to play like them just because you came from there. Don't get me wrong I love the defense but the whole pound the ball inside theory gets pretty predictable and can be stopped. Ther is no versatility. You have so many offensive weapons its crazy. Just show the other teams what you've got. These kids are so talented. Just let them play like they know how. Your a good enough coach to have your own playing style and to not have to use your brothers. 7. Some people don't pull their weight defensivly. Something seems wrong when the SG/SF has more than double the blocks than the teams center does. Alot of the fouls called are called on the players who have to come over and help out someone beause they know that they can't defend anyone. Not naming any names. 8. Poor free-throw shooting. During the first 2 1/2 to 3 quarters its pretty solid but as soon as the scoreboard says 4th period they all turn to mush and can't get one to fall. I really don't know how to solve this because its mainly inexperience but it is definatly a reson why the Camels have lost their games. Not everything about this team is bad though. As a whole the defense is a good unit, even though some are better than others, for the most part they really get after it for 32 minutes every night. Which is very new to Campbell County. This is all i have to say. Any opinions?

that is the complete truth. Sounds like some one is getting a little hypocritical about their thoughts. I believe Bondick is a much more essential piece to the CovCath lineup then duran was for Holmes last year. thats why I believe he will make a much larger impact when he returns

Because you have to give him the chance to pick up the peices and get a second shot at life. You can't just punish the kid for life over one mistake. If you deny him the RIGHT to an education, and yes it is a right not a privilage, your basically making him go back to his old ways because there is no way out of it.

All i can say is wow. Those dunks were nasty. Especially the oop from Setty?? If that was going through the motions I would hate to see him play all out.

Ok I happen to know him personally and i think that he might realize that that is a joke. I've known him since he was in 6th grade I wouldn't meaningly insult him. Why? Am i supposed to be scared of him? You seem to be concentrating more on me being scared to say things to him and not being able to do what he does than the threads whole point. You should probly calm it down a little. Do you think your getting under my skin or something? Because your not. If you knew me at all i say what i think and I'm not afraid to say it to anyone.

I just want to say again that I'm not saying he's a bad player. He just has work to do if he wants to take it to the next level which he can do.

Stevens is a good player but he's not dominating. And in the second game he fouled out so he had limited minutes. I'm not really sure what i have to do with anything but the whole point of this site is basically to criticize teams. I seem to be the only one who will actually tell the truth about players, teams etc. everyone else just give congradulations. How are teams going to get better if weak points are pointed out? No one gets better from being congradulated and never told they need to work on something. I don't have only negative comments either, he's a good offensive player while he's not making mistakes. In the game vs. Montgomery at Mason he also had at least 6-7 turnovers to go along with his points and rebounds. Which people in an earlier thread will agree that he was putting alot of uncalled contact on Stevens. I think your way out of line making personal remarks about me. A person you know nothing about so maybe you need to focus on the teams and players and less on me. I'll say what i want within the rules and nothing your going to say will change it. Someone needs to bring up the negatives and I will do it.

I don't doubt it due to the fact that there aren't that many good post players within 30 miles of Campbell County. I'm going to be honest he hasn't had an even match up yet. And when they play Mason he'll find out where he really is because he won't be towering over his defender.

He's pretty good at catching it down low but he loses it when people pass the ball to him and he tries to actually move with the ball. I've seen it many times.

True buit his turnovers are when he's basically confused as to his role on the team. he's a post player. He sometimes tries to dribble the ball and it goes offf his knees bc he's got the big mans ogre hands. He also is called for traveling alot bc he doesn't use his pivot foot well. Or doesn't realize he only has one.

Uh oh looks like a statement game. Not good news for CC. Mason will be taking alot of heat this weekend for the loss to Scott Co. which i think will only make them play better the rest of the year.

He's definatly top 3 in the state as far as defense goes. He can be the best on any given night.

I agree. It's nice to see a superstar be unselfish but it only goes so far sometimes you just have to take the team on your back and show everyone why your the best around.

True. If it wasn't for me, Old Soda, Camel 1 or Homeless Camel i don't think CCHS would be getting as many threads as they do.

I state din another thread that i wanted it to go deep into ot to wear them down for the camels. And i got to opposite :madman: not they're playing with alot to proove on tuesday.
