  1. I don't think I'm going to far out on a limb here! This was the best game of the championship weekend by far!:thumb:
  2. Maybe one of these days Bell and LO will get to face off in the finals! That would be cool. Two different philosophies, from opposite ends of the state!
  3. I can't fathom folks leaving in a championship game!
  4. CharlesW! Thanks for your kind words my friend! You Boyle fans have every reason to be proud of your team. I guaratee you we folks in Lone Oak our proud of ours! Hope both teams have great seasons next year! Go Flash!
  5. Congratulations to Boyle! They have a great program and they are a class act. The one thing I want to say for my boys at LO is that the championship game was played TODAY! Not last week between Bell and Boyle like some who post here and elsewhere would have you believe, but TODAY! Proud of you Purple Flash. Congrats Rebels!
  6. Well said CW! By the way, you have one of the best avatars around!:thumb:
  7. If you go to LO's IHigh page you'll see video from two early season games. The LexCath game was actually a bit onesided for 3+ quarters until LexCath burned the LO secondary a few times. Raglin was able to run some on the Flash defense, mainly in the 1st half. McShara will probably get his share of good runs but LO is capable of some big stops.
  8. As a Jackson Purchase boy, I'm not buying the LCA/Mayfield spread!
  9. Congratulations to the Rebels on a hard fought win. See you in BG! Go Flash!
  10. The Flash offense was incredible tonight! Looper and Starks were on fire. The defense made some key stops and forced some fumbles. Hats off to Marion Co. They are a strong team with a great rushing attack!
  11. I'm not convinced Marion's schedule is any tougher than LO's. Massey and MaxPreps rate LO's schedule a bit tougher. I hear every week that LO's next opponent will be the "toughest" they've faced. What makes Marion stand apart from LexCath, ACS and Franklin-Simpson? I'm not saying Marion isn't better, but what supports the claims that the Knights are the best combination of size and power the Flash have faced? I'm certain that Marion is a great team and can beat LO, but what specifically makes them special?
  12. Could be incredibly close, but I'm calling Boyle 35 Bell 24. Good luck to both teams. Hope LO gets to face the winner in BG but we'll have our hands full with Marion Co.!:ylsuper:
  13. I think Ft Campbell got their strongest challenge Friday night. They won't be as close the rest of the way!
  14. Good question! Quite a few in fact. Green Co., LexCath, Allen County and Franklin-Simpson were all advertised as strong running teams, which in fact they were. I think Russell Co and Graves Co. had some good rushing stats throughout their seasons. LO's defense performed well against the run in these games. It is also fair to say that LO has good athletes at their skill positions as well as some strong line play on both sides of the ball.
  15. Congrats to the Falcons. You're on your way to #3. All of us in the Purchase are proud of Murray's Tigers! Great effort and fantastic season!:thumb:
  16. Going by past experience, knowledge of schedules, what I hear from players and what I know about Haskins, they will be ready Friday night. They will not and should not look past Marion. Marion relies a lot on the run, which plays to LO's defensive strength. Who knows, maybe Marion is that incredible team everyone is looking for to put a hurt on LO. What I know of the players at LO is that they're not scared of anyone. I think they will win by a couple of scores, but who knows?
  17. Great rushing against great rushing defense? Who wins and why?
  18. The Flash were pretty good on defense vs ACS and FS.:eyeonyou:
  19. Great job Dragons. Good luck the rest of the way. Bunch of folks in LO are impressed!:thumb:
  20. In the far west (Jackson Purchase) you get teams that play NW TN schools as well as some teams from Southern Illinois. Occasionally we'll play some Missouri squads. Paducah Tilghman played a St Louis team this year.
  21. He is a really fine young man. It is a shame.
  22. ACS did a great job of getting into Jamarielle's head last year. I give them a lot of credit for that. ACS has the ability to win this year. However, LO has better team leadership all around and at QB than last year. They are a better team overall. The defensive intensity is miles ahead of last year. Even with the loss of Clayton, we have outstanding receiving corps. We have a better rushing attack than in 07 and 08. Finally, LO gets to play at home. I'll say LO by at least 10 points. It will be a tough game.:thumb:
  23. I'm picking the Flash to win but it could be close. ACS is an excellent team.
  24. Marion Co. has a solid team from what I can see from the various sites. I think they should be favored this Friday night!
  25. Nice revenge win for PTHS! They have a shot at going to state.
