  1. All well just hope Highlands is out this weekend.
  2. Just tired of all the they beat themselves crap.
  3. Why is it that when Highlands has a close game or gets beat their fans always have the same excuse " they beat themselves". At some point in life you have to face the fact that there are better teams and players out there. Come Highlands fans face up the fact that BS gave you a game you were not ready for. Dont take the credit away from their boys. The are a great team that gave you a great game. Hope you guys get knocked out this Friday so we dont have to hear no more about it.
  4. I think the Neers have got things working the way they want them now. Looking for the payback they owe to Conner. It was a streak of luck that Conner pulled the win they way they did. I look for SK to make sure that dont happen again. It will be a close game but look for SK to get the win by 14.
  5. I saw the problem with trhe kick off as well as all th SK fans there saw. I also sat at the fifty and now for a fact that the ball never went ten yards even after he slapped it. He fell on it about a foot and a half short of ten yards. The ref on that side kept moving the spot forward for them. We all saw it and let them know we saw it. Those refs are living proof that with fifty dollars and an open book test anyone can ref a game.
  6. I believe it would be but not 100 percent sure.
  7. Congrats to Coach Marksberry, his staff and most of all his players. These young men had a rough start this year and now have things working like a well oiled machine. Next week will be a tough game. These men are hungry for payback and will deliver it to Conners front door. There were a lot of bad calls made tonight by the refs and alot of dirty playing by the Generals but our men held their heads high and showed great sportsmanship. Looking forward to next week. :dancingpa :flame:
  8. Simon Kenton 33 (#4) Lafayette 6 (#1) This just goes to show that some teams just got a bad start or a few bad games but can still keep it alive and deliver what we all want. Great High School Football on Friday nights.
  9. Many things have changed in those years. Coaching and players. The past is history. Must live in the present. Coach Marksberry has rallied the troops and headed to Lexington to bring home the WIN. These coaches and players are hungry and on a streak. I believe they could make it further this year than ever before. They have what it takes to do this and now it is working for them.
  10. Congrats to Miles Simpson for breaking the single season rushing record for Simon Kenton, set back in 1968. Also to the coaches and players for another winning season and off to the play offs with a winning streak going. This team has come together and are now showing what they are capable of really doing. GOOD LUCK PIONEERS
  11. Yes I have played since I was ten. Started every year. Lead our division in sacks for three of four years in high school. Also coached for several years. I know enough to state that when the team you have on the field is not getting the job done you start putting in your alternates to see if they can do a better job. This encourages them to develop more as well as puts a little fear into your starters when they see the may lose their spot to a lower classmen. All I am saying is if it is not broke dont fix it. It is obviously broke and needs some fixin. By the way I do not have a son on the team. Just a local that has followed SK for quite sometime now. Although I do now their are alot of angry parents in the stands lately.
  12. Thats all I am saying. A good coach knows his team. A great coach uses all his talent. Put them in and see how they do against a varsity team. I think he would be surprised how well they will due.
  13. I am not talking about the backfield. I am talking about putting linemen in that will do the job. At least put them in and see what they can do. They could not do any worse that what was on the field. Those boys want a chance and cant get it. You have Helton, Haggard, Rice, Aubrey, Willams (plays varsity but not oline), as well as others. It would not hurt this team to play them at varsity level to see what they can do. Cant hurt when u have not line blocking to start with. not just this lose either. There was NCC, Conner, Ryle and Boone. All games pretty much lost due to blocking.
  14. Great person yes, great coach no way. His assistants anyone of them would be a great head coach. A great coach would be one who makes use of all the talent that he has not just play the players because of class. Get your head in the game.
  15. Yes it was jv vs. jv in the end but why not let them put points on the board. this has always been a problem at SK that the JV are ignored. They should have been given a chance in the varsity game when they obxiously could not have done any worse than the teams that was on the field. If you put them in u just might find some talent that you have overlooked by playing the player that is just upperclass. That is my whole point on here. They were picked to be the favorite this season not just because of the upperclassmen. They were there last year. It was because of the talent they had at the sophmore level this year. If the AD and Headcoach would step aside and let another coach take over they will be a force for the rest of the season as well as the next couple of years.
  16. You obviously have no clue as to what SK has on the sidelines. Everyone of the sophmores that started last year as well as several of the starting jv players from last year are physically capable of competing this year. It all comes down to a staff that plays players for the grade their in. Not for the talent level or the win. Look at the game friday when the jv went in. The moved the ball were within scoring range three timeouts left and not used. The jv would have put points on the board and the coach would not let them. he knows they can do it and wont let them.
  17. They should have been unstoppable this season. They have been out coached and out played in every lose. It is time for a regime change at SK. Lets get a staff that plays to win not plays primarily by the class your in. The undeafted sophmores are sitting on the sidelines watching the upperclassmen let the defense destroy their backs.
  18. This game was an embarassment from the start. SK did not have any o line blocking the whole night. They have a whole sideline of sophmores they wont even give a chance to. They sure could not have done any worse than what was on the field tonight or any other night for that matter. I cant figure out why they dont try them they may be surprised at what they see. then with 8 seconds left and the jv on the 10 yard line they dont use a timeout to let them put seven more on the board??????? go figure
  19. Miles is the real deal and stays in the game far more than most players I have seen at other schools. Hats off to a young man that can play as long as he does and still give all hes got to his team. Dont hate the player hate the game. Give the young man a break he is probable the best talent NKY has seen since Shaun.
  20. SK had no blocking from their from O line and very little penetration from their D line. That is it in a nut shell. Hopefully the staff will see this and make the changes that need to be made. Their are a number of younger players on that team that can do the job needed on the lines
  21. Kidding about what??? That boy should have stayed with no uncertain doubt. Lets see 1a or 6a. The SK program is in great shape for the next several years. I would rather my kid play for a 6a school with a district championship than a 1a school that has no real competition in there district.
  22. Where is Cory Crane at in the Beechwood system? I heard he would not be a starter this year. If not just a warning watch out for his parents. Ha Ha he should have stayed at SK.
  23. He was not a one man wrecking machine. He had a great line to open the holes for him and block for him. He made a grave mistake switching to Beechwood. He will not be missed by SK as we have a great program and other backs that are just as good as he is without the attitude. As soon as his father gets mad at Beechwood he will move Cory again.
  24. Crane left after only one game on the basketball team. His father is just that way. Has always been that way since Boone County pee-wee. Not a problem for SK as Zach Carrol will step right up and replace him. Should have been in his spot to start with. Zach is a great running back and just came out to late last year. As far as the middle school levels the majority of kids from Summit and Twenhofel will be coming to SK and Summit was yet again a championship team this last season and Twenhofel has a great coaching staff that has prepared their athletes for Coach Robinson. We will be a force in NKY for the next several years with our upper classman as well as our frosh and upcoming middle schoolers.
