I agree with FC. This should be a classic FC-OC game that reminds us of some of the games of the early 2000's. I think it will be a TD or less and turnovers could make the big difference. Hopefully the Falcons will keep them in check.

But once the 3-wayt tie was broke, wouldn't it go back to head to head. making it Paintsville, AC and BL???

I would say that at least 99% of the Fort Campbell players have been involved in another school district. I am leaving some room for the rare exception to the rule, but because of how the Army works, it is highly unusual and very difficult not to have transfer on a team. Here at Fort Campbell, most of the players are involved in the Clarksville, TN schools prior to moving on post.

I think Fort Knox is better this year than they have been the last few years and this is surely not the team we are used to seeing here at Fort Campbell, but still, this game should not be going this way. A lot of mistakes are being made by the Falcons and they are mistakes that should not be made. I don't think the restructuring has much to do with it quite yet, but it is surely not to far off into the future.

When this one is over I believe Fort Campbell is going to have won 21 of the Army Bowls (eight straight) to Fort Knox's 13. Niether of these teams are teh same from last year but the Falcons are still much better and will put this one away by at least three TDs.

I can see the problems concerning travel time that some people are expressing but do not really see the big issue with it. One of the places I played in high school required us to travel 2 hours for our closest away game, and that was in any sport. Some of the games were up to 3 or 4 hours away. That was just ion the regular season and the playoffs were typically worse on travel times. I think the best thing to do would be to go to 5 classes, have 7 or 8 teams in a conference, do away with districts and regions. Seed the teams from the conferences (how ever many that would be) into the state tournament with conference champions getting the tops seeds, and let the tournament go. If travel becomes to much of an issue, use a neutral site (this wouldn't be the first time this has happened). If you want to find out where the top teams come from, stoip making the finals a East vs. West thing as it is set up now. When the State Champion and State Runner-up come from the same conference, you will know where the best ball is being played that year for that class (actually seen this happen when I was in high school).

FC does seem to be playing better this week, especially on defense. Been a lot of going back and forth so far. (fyi, I know it is Pearl Cohn, but PK is easier to not confuse with FC for me when I don't wear my glasses....lol)

I have the utmost respect for the program that Highlands has built over decades of playing football in Kentucky, but I root against them because I like going for the underdog (unless my team is playing). Besides that, it just gets old hearing from everyone in Fort Thomas that Kentucky High School Football = Highlands Football. It is a rarity that in any conversation about football, highlands doesn't come up. Talk about 1A ball in western KY, and it always seems like someone wants to bring up highlands. Just gets old.

I agree. Fort Campbell can win this, but they need to fix some of the problems they were having on defense on the offemsive turnovers that they showed during the scrimmage. I know they are capable of playing better than they showed during the scrimmage, I just hope that they get it together this week before the game.
