I am sure Sandfoss has plenty of awards (much deserving). My point is that I have never opened a newspaper and the headlines were "whoever leads her team to victory with 10 assists and 5 steals".

Point guards rarely get the recognition they deserve.

Beal had a great game. She is a heck of a player. It looked like she just got worn out in the 4th quarter with Rahschulte shadowing her.

I believe Highlands' point guard is only a Junior. This should help offset the loss of the 3 seniors. They will be losing a lot of points, but at least they will have someone who can handle the ball and who knows the system. Good luck to Towles, Cutter and Allen! They have had great high school careers.

I agree that all communication should take place after the game has ended. I would think that most players are so focused on the game that they wouldn't hear the opposing coach anyway. You're correct that an opposing coach using a player's name should be a different thread.

I guess you have to take the good with the bad. I have heard an opposing coach compliment a player on the other team for a "good ball" or "nice shot" while using their name. As far as using their name with a negative comment, it happens. While I believe it's wrong, the player should be able to ignore it (if they even hear it) during play.

Voskuhl is a freshman. She also played Keeper for the Pandas soccer team. Very good athlete.

After reading the article in the Enquirer describing the game, all I can say is "I really miss the Kentucky Post"!!!! Geez!! At least get the names right and the fact that New Cath won the all "A" not Notre Dame.

And not looking past this season. NDA showed tonight that they could make a nice run in the 9th region tournament in a couple of weeks.

The future is bright for NDA. They will miss the shooting and leadership of this year's seniors, but for much of this game the Pandas played 1 freshman, 3 sophomores and a senior.

NCC jumped out to a big lead in the 1st quarter. NDA cut it to 4 going into half. NDA took a 2 point lead in the 3rd, but NCC came back strong in the 4th to win.

Great game. Great atmosphere. NCC lead by 2 going into the 4th quarter.

I believe she was 6 for 9 from behind the arc. She also had some baskets in close. The 25 points is probably correct.

I attended a middle school game a couple of years ago and the final score was 45 or 50 to zero. Not one parent in the gym enjoyed the game. It was very uncomfortable to say the least (and my daughter was on the winning team). I hope the E-town parents felt the same way.
