I saw the game and the Breds looked pretty 100% better from the physical side of the game compared to the Highlands game. Geisler, Beiting, Olberding battled hard. Pangallo, Connor, Lipscomb hld their own without getting knocked off the ball. The soph. Meyer play hard but gets pushed around alot but will get better with time. NCH had good size and strength and a ton of athletism but NCC insiders held their own. Beiting fouled out playing very aggressive! GREAT JOB NCC!!!! :dancingpa

Mitch can't get the shot off like Helmer nor elevate with him. Helmer at the 2 and Mitch at the point would give Ryle boost on the scoreboard!!!!

Being 5'9 cannot create a shot?????????????? A 4'9 CAN CREATE A SHOT!!!!!! Connor took Butler from NCH in the lane off the dribble for 2, later in the game pump fake hit a 3!!! Has had poeple in his face ever since he hit the a few at Holy Cross! He'll be tough to stop especially with Geisler in the middle now. Not sure what he last year, actually who cares?

I know Ahern struggles alot handling the ball but seems to stay on the floor but Helmer is by far the best shooter IMO. Maley, well??????? great athlete but needs to focus on the game of basketball!!!!

Is the youth movement on at Ryle or was Glen Este that bad that Helmer, Maley, Ahern sat????

Coach Brannen, Coach Dawn and the rest of the staff did a great job getting the big guy pumped up and keeping the shooter cool:thumb:

I agree with you mexitucky!!! Any of our NKY schools that can accomplish something as big as what NCC did beating NCH deserves alot more attention than what they've received on this game!!!! GREAT JOB NCC Where is Don Weber from ICN6 he should be all over this!!!!!!! ICN6 and Mr. Weber do a great job but missed this one????

Does NCC have a few big men at the freshman level?

Not knocking Maddox he's a good player but would be more effective outside. He won't have those high scoring games on the inside against bigger teams. He works hard inside but isn't there another option for GC that could pull him out where he could be better and make the team better????

Yes a win is a win and that's great that the Camels have started strong but the question is how will they handle these much stronger teams?????

Let's say it will be interesting at best. Gallatin Co. just doesn't have the horses to compete with the big boys. They've got a nice class A team and will do well there. They play hard but in the end the big guys will prevail!!!! Maddox might be one of the best point guards around but seems to play inside and get knocked around then gets cheap fouls in the games I've seen. I'm not close to the program so I'm not sure why he's not out front where he can see the floor and run the team?

Poor Camels!!! Those are really good teams coming up. Their early part of the schedule certainly hasn't helped them prepare for what's about to hit them!!!!They are young so maybe it's about preparing for next year? Schedule soft early know how it feels to win then schedule tough see what they really got, then go to work . New coach, young players, any thoughts??:confused:

Boone is solid no question but they're not physical enought to handle the birds of Ft. Thomas IMO.

Campbell Co had a big player on the JV team last year that looked to be pretty decent Coffman is he still playing?

Steeler man you should take your insecurities of the small schools to another thread:thumb: so we can talk about the basketball game here. Highlands looked fantastic and probalbly the most physical team up here! Coach Schlarmen did a great job by switching on the picks set by NCC to try to get the shooters open. When you keep Lipscomb from not scoring you'll beat NCC everytime. Simpson and McGraw can flat out play. Simpson could've had 30 if he wanted!!

I thought Helmer has had 2 20 pt games? If not I stand corrected but the kid is extemely capable of changing the face of a game quickly from what I've seen. Run him off some high screens and he'll get ya! I've been to several different high school games and it looks like the shooters are all small and these coaches don't set hard screens for them?? I still say CovCath by 10+

Nothing like it used to be! Prediction, Conner will be extremely over matched inside and out tonight. Gabbard and Popp will outplay the Conner guards with no trouble. Boone big men will dominate Conner. Should be a blowout! Boone by 20+

Shover will be hard pressed to handle Helmer who could drop 20 easily . If Ahern can get the ball up the floor Ryle could surprise alot of people tonight! Word on the street is Ryle had a player quit the other day that could hurt Ryle's inside game? This is a tough game to predict but I'll go with CovCath by 10.
