Hazard players that played both ways this year were: JR Campbell WR-DE SO Fugate OL - DL In the playoffs due to injury SO Martin played OL and DL and SO Moore played OL and LB Look for Hazard to put some of their offensive skill players in the secondary next year so you might see 4 or 5 going both ways next year.

I could be wrong but I think WYMT only ranks teams in the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th regions. Not sure I have ver seen them rank a 16th region team. If they did I am sure Elliot would be ranked.

Hard fought win for Hazard. These games are usually battles. Intense and emotional, as most cross town rivalries go. Tight ball game, Hazard pulled away late. PCC is better than most predicted. Give them some time to adjust to a new head coach and style of play and they will be a tough out come March. Play tough defense, an offense that looks to get the ball to Kelly or Maggard down low as the first option, however I feel Back might be their best offensive weapon, he was the best player on the court for the first three quarters. For Hazard Whitaker had a solid game, Campbell and Martin battled down low, and Jones played less then 8 minutes because of foul trouble. It will take a few more weeks for Hazard to gel, Of the 9 kids who played tonight 6 were playing football less 10 days ago and have only a handful of practices with their 3rd coach in three years. Look forward to rematch at PCC.

There has been a discussion among friends about players going both ways. I would expect more teams in class A and AA to play players both ways due to roster size. But what about the bigger schools such as Trinity and X. Do these types of programs play players on both sides of the ball? Just curious, look forward to the response.

Big win for Hazard. Goal line stand by Hazard in 2q enabled the Dawgs to keep the score 13 -0 instead of 13-7. Hazard was able to score late in the 2q quater to take a 20 -0 lead at half. C- ville is a big and talented team but Hazard forced them into passing the ball which gets them away from doing what they do best, running # 3 and # 25. Hazard added few scores around an Eagle TD. Hazard moves on to face a good LCA team who I expext to play much better then 4 weeks ago.

I am shocked at the fact that Bob C. has given Wayne some tools to work with this offseason. If this is true I would expect there are some other moves close to being finished. Go Reds!!! -
Congrats to Coach Rains and LCA. We look foward to coming to LCA. It is an honor to get to play Coach and his program at LCA. He is still a well respected man with many friends in Hazard. For those it is a pefect match up. If Hazard wins we go to the state finals for the first time ever, if not we have lost to a quality coach and program and we will cheer like crazy for LCA to win the State in hopes that Coach can pull out a victory. Look foward to next Friday. I think it should be a great game of evenly matched teams. Take away the home field advantage of Hazard and the turnovers from LCA and this game is a toss up. Good luck LCA and may the best team win.

So do the Cats. Could get a New Years Day bowl if they can pull an upset!

LCA is a very good team. They have had trouble with teams from the mountains this year. Coach Raines said he wanted to play those teams in the regular season to prepare his team for games like this. I think if LCA can force Pikeville out of what they do best, run the football, then they should be able to pull out the win. If not Pikeville will control the clock and keep the powerful LCA offense on the sideline.

Hazard 46 Cumberland 20 Cumberland dropped an interception right before halftime that would have been an easy return for a TD. Which woud have made the score 21-20 Hazard at half. However the interception was dropped and the halftime score was 21-13 Hazard. In the second half Hazard outscored Cumberland 25 -7. Longtime lurker, first time poster. The MTSU game was bad. Frist round of NCAA. I think we would have played UL in the second round if we had won. I remember UL had Beat Kentucky signs that had MTSU stamped over Kentucky.
