I saw another thread that had 16th and I just thought it would be fun to rate the coaches of the 13th!

Considering the success he has had you'd have to put Steve Wright up there really high. I believe Peitrowski and John D. Wilson are both very good coaches as well.

I'm obviously very interested to see how Lewis Morris does at Bell Co. He seems like he will play an up and down style and get after people. The talent level is down, but there is still young talent there.

I would put Steve Wright No. 1, followed by Tony P.

I think Wright, Dinky, Tony P., Pineville's head coach is a class act, Pennington has done a nice job at LC. In the 50th district, I think Wright, Tony P., Robinson, and whoever is Whitley's coach is this year! Those two could flip flop, during the course of the year.

Well thats good for him, but honestly IMO in watching Corbin the past few years under Coach P and watching Barbourville over time, I think that Corbin is better coached.

Coach Wright deserves the accolades because of obvious succes, but let's remember the size of his talent pool

 

I think Coach P does a great job at Corbin, but we need to remember, and this is a tribute to him and Corbin High School in itself, Coach P has outstanding assistant coaches also. West and McDaniels both possess head coach basketball knowledge.

 

I have to give the edge to Coach Phipps, while maintaining a great deal of respect for many of the coaches listed. Small talent pool and he has put a competitve team on the floor for many years...Longevity adds some serioius bonus points.

#1 Coaching Staff in the 13th Region would have to be the Cumberland Redskin Coach Staff, no better group of men out there.
