Well I will tell you this from coaching against Highlands last year. Their LB's (as a group)were the best I have seen play in this state. I am fairly young so I have not seen a whole lot, but that is my opinion. They may have not been all division 1 athletes but they sure played like it the night we played them. As a defense they run to the football and are as physical as any defense in Kentucky.

How was this a gift to the Cougars? We won at their place and we won here.

Some nice players listed in everyone's groups

One of the best players I played against that didn't go anywhere was Floyd Branham from Middlesboro. He was probably one of the best linebackers I have seen in Class A football.

Letcher County Central has had a special young man without arms and legs wrestle on the varsity team for three years. He was an inspiration to all.

Nick went to G-town but had a car wreck I think.

He is one of the best motivators I have ever been around and can flat out coach defense. The best thing that he brings to the table though is his ability to make kids better in the weight room.

Wow! This is a great hire for Scott. Wait till those boys get a taste of his off-season program!

I doubt this will happen. Breathitt County is a football school and they will not get rid of Mike Holcomb.

The one time they wrestled Sullivian pinned him in 30sec.

1.Elliott County-one of the best team in the state, but no real quality wins yet. 2. Shelby Valley-probably has the most quality wins of any team in the All "A" Classic with wins over Male, Desales, and South Miami. 3. JBS-Have everything it takes to win it. Size, Shooters, and a great guard who can penetrate and score. 4.University Heights-Have one of the best player in the state! 5. Paintsville-the three headed monster of Slone, Grimm, and Vanhoose give this team a legit shot at winning the tournament.

I think the ratings look pretty good except for the fact that Shelby Valley beat Male, Desales, and played J-Town all over the floor on their home court and are ranked either below them all or tied with them.

I believe personally that the spread is a great offense because it makes the defense have to cover the whole field. It doesn't take a big strong line to block in the spread because most of the blocking is about angles. Most people think the spread means you throw the ball all the time, but I have found that the running game is what really opens up because there are less people in the box to defend the run. If you have a Qb that can run it makes it even better because he can usually take one person out of the picture by just carrying out his fake. That leaves 5 on 4 most of the time.
