Could someone please list the returning starters for Highlands? I know that on offense RB Conner and OL Dempsey are coming back, and on defense DB Collinsworth is returning. Who else??? How about Laber... did he start on the defensive line last year?

He may have. The Birds rotation on D provided valuable time for the underclassmen.

Laber did start at defensive end part of the season. Frank didn't start any games at nose but got a whole lot of playing time. Rosenhagen I don't think started any at defensive end, but got a whole lot of playing time. Roller started some at lber, and got a whole lot of playing time. Alford got playing time at lber as did Newman. Head got some playing time at a db spot.

 

On O, as mentioned above, Dempsey and Conner return as starters. Guidugli started against Trotwood I believe and got some playing time at qb. I think Roller also got some playing time at TE.

 

And by "playing time", I'm not referring to mop up duty but time against the other team's starters before the outcome was decided.

Sorry about that and thanks for the correction. Coach Dill had so many different guys rotating in on the defensive line. Looking forward to watching Jerod play this year.

Thank you LN, and you are certainly correct about that rotation last year. Alot of changeable parts to the D line. Even when some of them were injured at the beginning of the year, players stepped up and played their butts off. I'm sure this year will be no different and some of the underclasmen again will get some valuable experience.

I know that the Unseld kid out at Doss when healthy is a BEAST. Despite his small frame he has become a really good QB. I would have loved to of seen what he would have looked like with another year running that pro set triple option that Coach Scroggins (now at Louisville Central) ran over there. Heaven forbid what he would have looked like on that LC team. If I am not mistaken there are a couple of pretty good receivers returning for Doss also. Cameron Clemens and another guy don't know his name. Maybe Maalik Dalton.
