Lloyd / Dayton prediction
This game is at Dayton so that gives a little help to the Dayton team. I haven't heard much about Lloyd so could someone inform me on what they have this year? Record, who they beat, who they lost to? Thanks But for now, going with my Devils in a close one, they are hungry after two games they should of won and ended up losing by 1. Dayton 21 Lloyd 20 (stopped 2 pt conversion for game)

Who's the best winless team?
- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
Dayton plays Lloyd at home. I do not know anything about Lloyd, so if anyone has information would love to see it.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
I thik everyone ejoyed it, couldn't ask for a better game to watch.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
#3 and #26 are juniors who will be returning and bringing a lot of speed back next year. 21 and 14 are the senior leaders of the team, who only has four seniors on the team. We are young with a lot of inexperience on the varsity level, but they improve with every game.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
Daddy cat, was just wondering on what your take is in the calls tonight. Especially the muff punt and the last block in the back.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
I noticed a lot of laying on the field after the plays for Lynn camp. Don't know if it was injuries or conditioning. Number 1 would be an excellent back if he had better conditioning. He tired very quickly.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
No connection, I think both just needed a game to fill the schedule and it turned out to be an excellent match up. It was like last years game in it is sad to see a team have to lose.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
I think it is but we need to consider extending it. Since there was questions from Lynn camp last year and Dayton this year, maybe we can meet half way every year in Lexington so it will be a neutral site. Just a thought.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
I thought that is what they called but the kid catching the ball was at least 5 yards away from the Lynn camp kid it hit in the back, so I don't know what their judgement was. The second block in the back too was a pretty bad call I thought. The first one they called was really close, but the second one I thought was pretty bad. But what can you do now, we got the L you got the W.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
I agree it is a shame, but the three I was referring to was the muffed punt that I still don't know what was called and the holding call when we reached the 4. I seen the back judge throw as our reciever was catching the ball. I understand where you are coming from and I know both teams played their hearts out. Just sad to see it on my side. Good luck though.- Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
Both teams played hard. Dayton had essentially three touchdowns called back. I will be able to elaborate on this later but I'm sure who was ever at the game saw this too and it really sad to see that happen to kids.- Best Young/New Coach in NKY
I would say Lickert has shown he is an excellent coach and help bring a program back from the debts. Being close to the Dayton program I think Deaton is an excellent person and an excellent role model to the kids at Dayton, for some have none. He has shown he can coach, but still has some time to show what he can really do with this being only his second season. Good luck to both- Lynn Camp/Dayton Predictions
Couldnt agree more. I was impressed with Lynn Camp last year and both of their backs ran the ball extremely hard. What happened to the Wagner kid? He was the best player on their team last year IMO. Better than the team's leading rusher.- Lynn Camp/Dayton Predictions
There was no controversy in the game last year. It was an extremely hard fought game for both teams last year, and it seems it is hard for some people to accept the defeat. I though both teams played their hearts out and left everything out on the field. It was a good game, and don't smear that fact by saying there was controversy. Dayton is extremely young with only 3 or 4 seniors starting, combined with a fairly tough schedule has left them at 0 and 4. I don't know anything about Lynn Camp so I can't make an accurate prediction to the game, but with the Wagner kid out it has to be a blow to the team, because he was IMO the best player on their team last year.- Beechwood 51 Dayton 0
I agree with the late hits. Stupid and believe me the players will pay for it today. There was only two though. But I'm talking about the coaches rushing their players to run another play with two seconds left in the half. If anything, I would want my starters to take the break at half and then come out and play one series so they get more practice to break of half time.- Walton Verona 34 Dayton 16 (JV)
From what I was told Dayton had two or three touchdowns called back, so that never helps against a team who is equal with you in talent. Walton impressed me last year at the JV level with the size of their kids. Sounds like it was a pretty good game though.- Beechwood 51 Dayton 0
Dayton plays Ludlow next week. Beechwood was dominant as usually. I really only have one complant witht he Beechwood staff. With 15 seconds left in the first half, and already up by 41, the Beechwood coaches rushed in a play and had their starters in there rushing to the line to get a play off before the half to try to score again. They hiked the play with two seconds to go in the first half up 41. I think it is pretty bad when you try to demoralize a team and that shows pretty bad sportsmanship.- Dayton/Scott Predictions
Dayton comes off a hard fought game against Holmes losing 25-6 and Scott comes off the big win against Walton-Verona. Take your pick and why...- Bellevue 18 Newport 6
Good win for Bellevue to come back in the second half after being down 6-0 at half. Newport had some costly turnovers in the second half giving Bellevue good field position. Both teams made some first game mistakes, but overall was a well played game. The two backs for Bellevue are fairly small but run the ball hard. Good game to both teams.- 2008 Dayton
The scrimmage last night was good for both teams. The two varsity squads did game situation for 3 quaters and they tied at the end of them at 14. The two JV squads then played the last quater and Madison Southern scored and Dayton's did not. Good game overall though.- 2008 Dayton
Last year was one of the best games I have ever seen. Was a battle to the end. Not sure what Lynn Camp returns from last year but I'm guessing a solid team again. Hopefully our young team can come out and give another great game like last years was, a close one to the end. See ya there...- 2008 Dayton
Of course I am going to be somewhat biased in this but there is no question the amount of pride the players, the coaches, and the town has for the Dayton football program. It amazes me the amount of support these boys recieve no matter what their record says. Davis field is the place to be on Friday nights whether the game is a for sure win or could turn into a blowout. The fans will be there supporting their boys. This is also true for every small city in the NK area (Bellevue, Newport, Ludlow ect...). Pride will never be a question for any of these schools. As for them to improve they need to work on the men up front in the trenches. Sherlock and Richardson will put in their stats, but the season IMO will ride on the line on both sides of the ball. If their young line can step it up and play a single unit this team could become a very productive team. The foundation has been laid at Dayton for a program to begin building. The city itself is growing rapidly with three huge construction projects underway, and the football program is growing just as fast. In '04 they were 3-7, '05 4-6, '06 6-4, and in '07 8-3. This is a direct effect of the coaches and the hard work these boys have put in. Good luck to the Devils and I will be there to enjoy the season.- High School player who never made it to college.
Jason Skirvin was a talented running back out of Dayton in the mid 90's, he went to Georgetown and was unable to finish his career there because of medical reasons. Was a real shame to see that happen, could have been a very good player there. - Lynn Camp 14 Dayton 13
