  1. I think I'm going to go with coach Lickert in a really close game. Holmes: 21 CC: 14 good luck to both:thumb:
  2. Although Dayton is a superior team Bellvue could still beat them. So your saying because a team is superior to another an upset could never happen? I'm not saying it would be easy or close if Dayton doesn't play perfect game, but if they do I think they could play with Beechwood.
  3. Thanks for your opinion. And the kicking game never has been a strong point for Dayton, ever.
  4. Guru question for you, You have seen some good football teams with traveling to best games in the state every Friday night, I was just wondering what is your opinion on Dayton? Where do you think they could improve? Just curious
  5. Who else does Bellvue have this year? Dayton finishes with a bye this week, Brossart, Newport, and Carroll Country.
  6. Just found a video on nky.com of the game... http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071005/VIDEO02/71006003
  7. Nice article in the paper http://news.nky.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20071006/SPT030201/710060408/ True it will be the playoffs and the rivarly factor needs to be brought in but from what I seen last night Dayton is a superior team to Bellvue. Bellvue did have a lot of turnovers but Dayton had a few also, one when they were about to score on the 2 yard line or so and one at their own 10 (fumbled punt) that Bellvue was unable to capitalize on.
  8. True they have to get through Bellvue again, but what makes you feel this way?
  9. lol spelled stats wrong in my post before sorry (states) :irked:
  10. Congrats. coach Lickert. No one wanted to see him leave Dayton but it is good to see him succeed at Holmes as well. Shake that playoff race up coach!:ylsuper:
  11. Where is this game at, Dayton has a bye so I would love to come to this game.:dancingpa
  12. Adding to them I defently think the mentallity of going into the game believing they can win is the biggest thing. But this team has a big "pep in their step" lately and I think they will believe this coming into this game. After that, no turnovers is biggest. I was at the Beechwood game and I remember Dayton putting together one good drive in the middle of second quater. They spread Beechwood and used short passes added with runs up the middle. They marched about 80 yards on the Beechwoods first string D to make it a 24 to 7 game but then Beechwood ran away with it. If they can put together some drives like that one it could get interesting in the second game. Other than that just come out and play the way the way they can play, and not be flat they have been in a couple of games including the first Beechwood game. As for the states I posted sorry i was WAY off on the yards. Sherlock was 7 for 16, 147 yards, 3 TD's, 1 int, not sure on rushing yards, and had a defensive int in Bellvue's endzone.
  13. Excellent game for the Devils, and especially their QB Sherklock, not sure on the exact numbers (will get them later) but threw 3 TD's, I would say around 250 yards, threw I think one Int and had an Int on defense. Great game all around though. Dayton is looking to go 9-1 for the first time since 1996 (I'm pretty sure the 96 team went 9-1). Go devils!!!:dancingpa
  14. Exactly, IMO this is the most heated rivarly in the state. And we are going to get a good one tonight!!!:fire:
  15. Good article in the paper if anyone didn't see it http://news.nky.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20071005/SPT030201/710050399/
  16. Games tonight..!!!:dancingpa Good luck to both teams, lets have a hard fought and a good clean game with no injuries. (neither team needs injury for the rematch in the playoffs!):ylsuper:
  17. I don't know lol
  18. Were they working on the running game for the playoffs or something else?
  19. I think NCC will win easily, but this years NCC does not compare with the past two years teams. In 05 they were dominant and in 06. They are good don't get me wrong, but I just don't see NCC being as strong as they were the past two years.
  20. True, I didn't mean it like it was a bad thing just smaller schools outside of the powerhouses struggle with numbers. But Mayfield don't struggle like some of the other smaller schools do. I came from a small school and wouldn't change it for anything.:ylsuper:
  21. Ludlow easily. Even without their QB, they still win by at least 21
  22. The troubles of small school football.
  23. Coming from Dayton I remember him on the sideline yelling away. At every game that I can remember. Prayers go out to him and his family.
  24. If your going to say Scott is bad then what can you say about them beating Holmes? You keep saying Scott but Scott beat Holmes 14 to 0, and a Holmes team that put it on Holy Cross. And when Paris was ranked it was preseason (before a real game!!!!!!), thats like saying whoever is ranked #1 in the preseason should get state rings because they are better than everyone else. So that makes three easy games, because they are now winless. Also, if you don't think Scott would beat Paris by more than three touchdowns you have not been keeping up your local football.:thumb: And I dont get the whole Scott is horrible program thing? So your telling me a team that has a below average football program, can't every once in awhile they put together a decent team? Now that's confusing to me:confused: Because this years Scott team is better than a normal Scott team and I was fairly impressed with them.
  25. Dayton hasnt played Brossart, hasnt played Newport, hasnt played Carroll and dont play Bracken. So their schedule thus far is WAY more legit than one that only really consist of Ludlow and NCC. Dayton has yet to have an easy game and Bellvue has had THREE. Schedules are no where near close. So I guess fusing atoms is more like it.
