Is it true they only have 17 girls total? Another long year for the Lady Jaguars. Conner will clean their clocks!

I was wondering the same thing about some of those teams having multiple players in the top ten. Nothing against the players listed, but some of those teams should be ranked higher with two top ten players!

Just Boone County District gossip. It might be shocking, but girls from Conner and Cooper do talk. Just like the parents talk. I hope they do well this year. But they do have a lot of factors against them. Maybe what I hear is not true. I will give you that. But reading other threads and posts on here, I don't think I am too far off the mark. If you are close to the situation then tell me if I am wrong on my statements: -same parents that drove off the last coach -lost kids to other schools -are going to be lucky to have 20 girls total for all 3 teams -don't have a girl over 5'9" If I am wrong, I will take it like a grown man. I pull for underdogs.

Cooper might be the favorite, but don't count out Conner. I think they will surprise a few people!

I wish the new coach luck as well. But lets be real. From what I hear, the same parents are there, they lost players, and I hear they are going to be lucky to have 20 girls in the whole program. They will still be the at the bottom of the District. One spot above Heritage. They don't have the players that BC, Ryle, and Conner have. Sure they have a few players that can play, but they don't have a girl over 5'9" in the program. Teams with size will feast on them inside. They will do what they have done in the past. Beat some weak teams, but lose to the good ones. Maybe they will prove me wrong, but I will believe it when I see it.

I agree, they have a good set of core players. They might not average 20 ppg, but they know their roles and fit well into what Coach Stamm is doing. I think the future is bright for the Cougars!

I heard from a Conner parent that the posting was just a formality and that Cooper has their staff in place. I did hear they kept the old coaches dad on staff. What is up with that? I am sure people love that move in Cooper land!

Coach Stamm will lead the Cougars to the top of District 33 this year! He has the players and he is a good coach. They should leave the rest of District 33 in the dust.

Cooper hands down, or will others compete with them? Like football, Cooper and Conner are battling.

Yes, good luck to him. I just saw posted that he is looking for two coaches on the Boone County Schools website. What happen, people already jumping off the ship?

Conner does need to live up to the hype, and Coach Stamm will make them. I don't think Cooper will. A new coach may help some, but they still will get dominated by BC, Ryle, and Conner. The good news for them is that Heritage is back in so that should be one district win for them....

I agree, I would think Conner is higher on the list. Coach Stamm has his team ready to make some noise. As mentioned, coming of a 20 win season, look for them to be tough. Don't count Nell out...

I was at a Conner game recently and talking to some parents. One of their daughters is a friend of a girl over at Cooper. I hear they are going to be hard pressed to have 20 girls total come out to play. How does a school that size not have more players? Past ghosts or present coach or both? Would love to hear if this is true or just a rumor.....

Didn't they also have Heather (sp) Hasslech? The big post player. That is a tough district for them to be in being a small school. Good luck to them if they have a team this year!

So does that mean that they have to play District games? Most Varsity schedules are already set. Which district are they in?
