  1. Preachit that does make for a difficult situation. A coach in that case might feel like he or she is just spinning the wheels, however it can still be accomplished. The focus should be on the girls that are knowingly going to be there. Even if it is only 3-4 girls. Maybe it is beyond that though. I just don't understand how the team goes from 8-9 wins one year and goes 0'fer the next. It shouldn't happen.
  2. Is Ms. Fields teaching somewhere else? I thought she was a pretty good coach and mentor for the girls at LMHS. Wasn't she coaching there for 3-4 years? Once again that whole consistency concept. LMHS can be successful. It's going to take someone who can sell the program to the younger athletes and show they care.
  3. What is the SES? I agree with all that you say, but within those words lies the problem. There is always a reason at LMHS as to why something can't be accomplished. Is building success at LMHS going to be easier than St. Henry or any other school -no, but that doesn't mean you can't work harder and eliminate the doubts and obstacles to why it can't be done. Success breeds success! By the way what is going on with the coaching staff? Is B. Fields still there because I know she knows what it takes to be a success in athletics, etc.
  4. I think the girl's BB program can be successful. All it needs is a little more consistency. There is no reason they can't compete with St. Henry, Villa, etc. The problem is the whole idea of change. Sometimes people can't get out of their own way. To get what you do not have --you must do what you have not done.
  5. Are all the coaches coming back? They did graduate some talent even though they struggled last year. They have had good athletes in the past, but.....
  6. Yes, I am talking about coaching salaries. True, teaching salaries are totally different. But when talking about coaching salaries, there are ways to make up the differences.
  7. Comments like this crack me up. Who becomes a Varsity coach for money? If that is the case, then they are in it for the wrong reasons. With fundraisers, summer camps, and so forth, the difference in money can be made up (and usually are!).
  8. It was the boys coach. I just read he is one of the final 6 for the Lakota West job in Ohio.
  9. Maybe it was the HC girls coach. I just figured it was the boys coach.
  10. I heard from our Northern counterparts that the Holy Cross coach interviewed for the Harrison job, and just wasn't sure if they were really looking to leave HC.
  11. Any coaching openings present or on the horizon? Thanks!
  12. Congrats! Coach Arnett loves the 3 ball, so if she can shoot it, he will let her!
  13. Congrats to Ashley! Asbury is a great school! Best of luck to her and the Eagles!
  14. Glad you read my first sentence. Maybe he does like the challenge of coaching at Silver Grove. No fault there. It just sounds to me that he should have his pick of schools to coach at. But some coaches live to be at the best or trendiest schools, some like the challenge of taking a program from bottom to top.
  15. This is going to come out wrong, so I apologize in advance, I mean no disrespect. If Coach K is so amazing and such a great coach, why doesn't he coach at a bigger school or program? Thanks!
  16. I understand that part of coaching is $$$$, but come on now, if it is an attractive enough position do most coaches really coach for the money??? Also, isn't that a reason why you run summer camps to supplement income?
  17. I am with you on this one. I am an outsider and don't know the situation. It is great that so many people think so high of his coaching abilities. I have to say though, if he was so great, then why did they let him go? It had to be for some reason. Just like when a parent yells at the coach for not playing their "all star" kid. Because we all know coaches LOVE to sit their best players on the bench. Things aren't always what they seem! Good luck to Brossart. If this is a "crossroads" as some one posted, I hope they find the right person for the players!
  18. She played Varsity at Heritage Christian as a 7th grader.
  19. Based on mailing address. Which county is your mailing address?
  20. Would someone please call the KHSAA at: 859-299-5472 if you know anything so we can all move on with our lives. :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:
  21. What happened to Moss? Rumor in Ohio is that she is moving to the lakota West district to play for coach Fishman:idunno:
  22. What happened with S. Moss? Does this hurt Ryle's chances in making a run?:idunno:
