I'd say Conner is #2 then Ryle then Boone.

I'm going with Cooper than Ryle.

The sophomore Brendan Stanley has the most returning varsity experience (hardly any) that I can remember.

Cooper is the favorite. They return a lot of experienced players and have added Zach Mc Neil. Conner will have some experience in Barker, Padgett and Hemmerich but still need a PG. Boone will be young but have some talent and will get better as the year goes. Honestly I don't know much about Ryle.

Pretty good summary. I'd add info on Ryle, but I really don't know much about them either.

 

One thing I will add, with four large schools from the same county in the same district, expect some tough, physical, competitive games, even if Cooper does appear to be the favorite. Districts like this are blood baths, as the coaches know each other too well, and the players have been playing each other two, three, or four times a year since the day before Noah started work on a boat.

Ryle has more than likely a POY candidate in Drew Mays and the big Stuhr kid will work hard but outside of that they lack depth. Cooper will be my pick with their experience and depth. Conner is solid but the lack of a true Pag may hurt them. Boone Co has the Stanley kid back but I don't think he's grown since the 6th grade has he? Many unproven Varsity players on that roster but they are defending champs.

Agree with most on here that, on paper, Cooper will be the favorite. They return alot and have the experience of playing in a regional tournament from last year. I would put Conner's frontcourt against any team in the region. Barker, Padgett, and Hemmerich will be tough and all have put on some height and size from last year. If they can find someone to get the ball up the floor and get them into their sets they will be tough. I think Boone takes a step back with some key losses. Obviously, some of the younger players will need to step up in order for them to have success. I'd pick Ryle to finish 4th in the district but watch out for Mays to have a big year. Saw him in some of the summer camps and he has also added some size and is playing like a very confident senior.

Didn't mean to infer that Barker doesn't play with confidence. He certainly does. If you consider that he now has a year of varsity basketball under his belt and you throw in his football success I am expecting a big season from him. Just noting that Mays seemed to have a little more bounce in his step over the summer than he has in past years.
