I agree. It isn't hard to figure out who is who on here by their reactions to comments. And if I was coaching over here in NKY I would be all over this stuff. I am sure a lot of PM's are sent for scouting purposes! In Ohio it is Yappi Sports and it is the same way. People say they don't get on it, but they do.... And you are right, why wouldn't they? So what percent of people on here are truly coaches? Just curious

How many coaches use BGP as a form as scouting? Or motivation for that matter???

Ryle was the flavor of the month there for a while, but the reality is their inexperience against the top dogs is showing through. I still say they are the most exciting young team in the area!!!! And even though NDA is small, I was always told dynamite comes in small packages!

I would say 15-20 point range for Ludlow.....

In the Holmes/Ludlow results thread, the conversation got started about how the District to Regional progression works. Do I have this correct: Winner of a District plays a District Runner up Runner up of a District plays a Winner of a District It was mentioned that it is a blind draw once to Regionals. Is that ok with people, or does that cause controversy over people wanting them to be seeded? Sorry for the dumb question if it is a dumb question, but as the phrase goes: "you aren't from around here are you?"... ha ha

Is it predetermined, or seeded? For instance, Ludlow wins then they play the 35th loser. Or if they lost they play the 36th winner....I might not even have the right district #s, but you know what I am asking..... *I will start a new thread, I don't want to take away from Holmes/Ludlow game

Right now it seems hard to go against Ryle......the only negative is lack of experience (but that theory sure went out the window against BC)

The score at least looks competitive! Realistically, when Ludlow wins their district or is runner up to Dixie, which teams will they run into at Regionals? I don't know the set up after Districts. Are they matched up with a selected district or all thrown into a hat? And of course, congrats to Holmes!!!

Because their fans are so loyal and always respond to my sarcastic sense of humor. I don't know anyone from there, and the people I have met have always been friendly. I just like to spice it up and play devils advocate.....

I hear you there! It helps the lower teams, but could potentially hurt the better teams! And as much as I dog the Ludlow people, they are a good team and well coached. I would just prefer (as a basketball fan) to see them play Dixie in the District Championship game, rather than to gain a spot in the Championship game against a lesser opponent.....

Wow, that makes no sense to me. Because in the 34th Ludlow is crazy for not wanting to play Lloyd (they killed them) or Villa. So random draw could put them against Dixie? But I guess if you are a school like Dayton or Bellevue and figure you don't have a shot any how, then take the chance to get a competitve school randomly. Thanks for the info....interesting. So does most of NKY not seed?

Which schools don't want to seed? I don't know why you wouldn't want to seed unless you are the worst team and you hope to draw the next to worst team......because don't you move on past districts if you make it to the Championship Game no matter win or lose?

That is good to hear that it was a good game and that both teams played hard. It stinks when refs ruin the game, but it happens and it is one of the factors you can't let affect you as a player or coach..... Ludlow still has Holmes left and stands a good chance there of beating a team to earn them some respect! Ryle is young and keeps getting good play and should continue to get better! Good luck to both teams..... And I wasn't really trying to bait the Ludlow fans. I was being serious in that I got ripped and shredded for offering my opinion against them once....just giving you a heads up.

WOW, can't wait to hear a couple of the Ludlow faithful respond to that one. I wasn't there, so I can't comment. However, I have been roasted for making other comments like that..... I have seen both teams play at different times, and I am not sure that Ludlow is as good as Ryle. That isn't an insult, just my opinion. They do have GREAT post players. But Ryles point guard is very good....

Would love to hear details of this game. Especially from the Ludlow standpoint!

They aren't that good yet, but they are young and have the potential. IMO or my best guess is she knows to be good, you have to be good at Man. Zone mixed in to throw teams off is ok. But the good and great teams play man defense primarily. She could just sit in a zone, but how does her team learn how to get better to be a great team? Again, my opinion, and as you can tell I am not a big zone fan.....

I agree. I can already see the gap in small private and small public in the 9th region. Also, schools (boys and girls) shouldn't be playing on the same nights at different places period. It DOES affect your attendance/support. Which is a shame for the student-athletes!!!
