  1. Brian Brohm is going as offensive coordinator. Assistants are going to get a big pay increase. Drew Breese has spearheaded getting the stadium better. The Purdue president, Mitchell Daniels is on board. It is a terrific school to get a job after graduation. People who go there love the atmosphere. And Scotty's Brewhouse...
  2. Student sections anywhere have to be closely watched by admin. They are dumb kids in a mob situation. So are some parents, BTW.
  3. I have to agree. Could have won. Early in the game, they had T in tough yardage or even stopped and unsportsmanlike penalties gave T position. That was Lafayette shooting themselves in the foot.
  4. It was Trinity's 600 win ( 600-160-7), 24th state championship, and Beattys 12th state championship.
  5. I knew this would be hard fought. I listened on radio and followed here. I have never known T to lose their cool so much. It will be dealt with, but what about Lafayette?

    For nWo

I remember several years ago, my husband and I were driving from Florida to Indiana in really tough weather. It was very late at night and we had made the decision to stay on I 75 instead of I 24 over the mountains at Chattanooga. Knowing the " iffyness" of Jellico, I fired up the air card and laptop and checked in with @nWo. I kept giving my husband reports and also an explanation about our personal forecaster. Thanks, nWo.
  7. I'm interested in an exercise tracker. I would wear it on my ankle, not wrist. Should I go with Fitbot, Garmin or something else?
  8. Thanks, Deuce, for the updates. We are listening to the radio stream also. Can't get to much Rocks football.
  9. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope your house smells as good as mine.
  10. A memorial $1.00 coin for @Alabama Larry. He touched me in my heart.
  11. There will be none of that in my house. Someone in the family could start a war. NO No No.
  12. I was in Germany in the 1980's. Our guide, when asked any questions about WWII, would say, "I had nothing to do with that. Why do you ask me about that". She did not discuss history about the war. Moving the monument to a more appropriate place is fine, but let's not white wash our history. There were many caught up on both sides who were simply pawns and should be remembered for their sacrifices. "Those who don't remember history are doomed to repeat it" said someone smarter than me.
  13. @spindoc I'll be there. Sec 126 row18 seat one.end zone away from the window. Not sure I'm looking forward to it with # 12 in concussion protocol & Colts only managing to play less than a half.
  14. Cleaned house on Friday. Shopped with my sisters on Monday for all the fixings. Today is prepare: jello salad, turkey broth, smoked salmon log, cranberry relish,, set up tables while listening to my favorite music. Wednesday: brime 2 turkeys, sisters return in evening for turkey prep and wine. Thursday: 24 to 26 family and friends for 1:00 dinner. Each family brings their speciality for the meal. I do turkey, dressing, mashed potatos, gravey. Unfortunatly, none of my kids will be here,. 2 live too far away and Trinity is tradition for the other. I love the prep, the talk, the card games, the football, the neighborhood walk. I am blessed more than I deserve.
  15. People actively involved in running businesses normally don't run for political office due to these kind of ramifications. I believe we need some business sense in our government, so hope this can be resolved by Trump being hands off and the kids run the business. It is hard to be in a blind trust like normal investments because his businesses are so public. Might need a "shusser"at all family dinners, also. I hope it works.
  16. My thoughts: Sessions was a very vigorous DA in prosecuting civil rights cases, including one with 2 clan members where he asked for and got the death penalty. Social media has so many false stories and half told stories that you could spend all day searching for the truth. I enjoy the both sides of this forum.so I eavesdrop a lot. So thank you all.
  17. I am not fine with any of this. I am not fine with rudeness, hatred, bullying, bigotry, racism against anyone, anywhere, anytime. I am for love, kindness, helping others and "walking in their shoes". I cry when I hear "God bless the USA". I will not stand by silently. I will do my part to make things better. How about all of you?
  18. Glad I'm retired. Getting everything out in the construction industry was mind boggling.
  19. It does appear Trump won the popular vote, also.
  20. I saw the regular season game. Ballard came to play. Trinity has to much in the second half.
  21. I vote in IN and with the machine in my County, you take a generated paper that shows your precinct. A pole worker punches that number into the machine. You verify the number. Pole worker leaves you to vote.
  22. @Cincy. Yes there are other states that let everyone in. Indiana, for example. Each school or conference decides their schedule within established rules, with no interference from the IHSAA for 9 games. The 10th game starts the class tourney run by the IHSAA who determines by blind draw who plays who within geographical boundries. I have simplified, but it is done.
  23. It is hard to see a friend and respected young coach, Jody Ashby, go through this. Hopefully They give him a chance to build.
