  1. Dont forget about the Green Devils of Dayton! They can be surprising! and our currently 8-1 :ylsuper:
  2. In 1999 Newcath was blown out 49-0 by Beechwood and that year Beechwood and Bellevue were the top dogs.
  3. Saturday morning update! Brownfield has a ankle sprain not a high ankle sprain and Wynn went to the hospital where they popped his shoulder back. other than that the Devils are 100% and although those two will probably sit this up coming week out, "just to be safe" they will be back Bellevue game.
  4. I think Dayton thought Newport wasn't as good as they turned out to be. Dayton had three or four drives killed by penilties and fumbles. Ryan Brownfeild seems to have a serious foot injury and another player suffered from a concusion. Im not sure about joe.
  5. They have a lot of great athletes. They are sound defensively and play hard. If they had consistency on Offense they would be a lot better football team. They run too many formations and a lot of different plays, they need to keep it simple. That is how they played with Holy Cross. They did not do a bunch of trick plays and played sound, fundamental football. If they do that the game will be well played and hard fought. I still give Dayton the advantage, too many weopons on O and great D.
  6. Those are quailty wins, Beechwood is not god. They can be beat, just because Beechwood is good doesn't mean you disrespect other teams and players because trust me no matter who you play for you put in the work, I know Dayton and Bellevue both play hard as well as many other teams. Its not right for you to try and tell these kids what they have done means nothing because they aren't from Beechwood.
  7. Bellevue Beechwood 1999 regional final @ Bellevue. Bellevue won 17-0 in regular season. In playoffs Beechwood 35-0. Beechwood had advantage in playoff game averaging 270 on the line and Bellevue 200. Bellevue could not utilize speed and lost. Beechwood went on to win 7th titile of the 90's. Field was sloppy and everyone looked like hogs rolling around in mud.
  8. Last year Dayton only lost 14-7 or something close to that.
  9. Its to prove the point, I guess the other two dont add no value either.
  10. When was the last time Newport had this record ? The past three games Dayton has dominated opposing teams Lloyd 46-14, Bellevue 35-8, Brossart 56-0. I think they continue this trend with Newport. :thumb:
  11. How do you compare these two school? Holmes is nothing like Colerain.
  12. The old school "prison yard," there is nothing like a 2000+ cround packing the brim of Davis Field on a Bellevue vs. Dayton game.
  13. I agree, with everything said here. Every game this season for the greendevils has been a team effort. Ellis just needs to keep getting better at becoming a force on defense and get as many looks at as many different poss. on offens as possible
  14. You have picked Dayton to lose almost every week "for one.":irked: "Secondly," it isnt hard to have prediced all 5 of Bellevue's conciering you pick them to win every week, and look at their opponents. Anyone could have predicted their wins.
  15. Lynn Camp wins, because they are impressive. Joe is a great back, but watch out for Sidney Wagner, he is the man too. We won 20-15 and I believe Lynn Camp is the second most physical team we played.
  16. Im changing my mind taking Lloyd in this one same score flip it.
