  1. Charlie was at Bellevue in the late 70's. He then went to Rowan County where he did not fare very well down there. He then went back to Bellevue in 1988 and coached Bellevue until the 2000 football season. Charlie coached some very good football teams. In 1990 his team was runner-up. In 1999 his team went 12-1 and 2000 the Tigers went 11-2. In 1999 and 2000 the Tigers went to the regional finals. Charlie does an excellent job and does have a lot of football knowledge. Just wish they televised the Dayton/Bellevue game. It was his old school playing and three former players were coaching. The Wilson's from Bellevue and Coach Montgomery for Dayton. ICN-6 does do an excellent job and it is cool the kids get that kind of exposure.
  2. Im saying if Dayton shows up it can be done.
  3. I agree Bellevue will win but not by as much as some of you had stated. Bellevue 21 Lloyd 17
  4. Holmes beat Dixie and Dayton beat Holmes, and since Scott beat Holmes i would say Dayton has a close comparison in season strength.
  5. Well first Dayton is worried about their next opponent which is Bishop Brossart. They are going to take it one game at a time. They are not going to over look anyone. They also have to play Bellevue again who they should beat, but they are not looking to Beechwood yet. That matchup is still six weeks away if everything goes as planned. As for playing a bad game yeah that does happen. Dayton has had several personel changes since then. Beechwood is a great team that Dayton will have to play a perfect game to win. Beechwood is capable of being beat by a small class A school. Bellevue has beaten Beechwood two times since 1999. Everyone can assume that will happen, but that is why you play the game. Everyone picked Dixie and did not give Holmes a chance. Again congrats to Dayton on a big win over Bellevue and remember one game at a time.
  6. Believe, Dayton must believe they are better and not have the mentality that oh no this is Beechwood. One thing Dayton has now that they didn't last time they meet Beechwood is a mix of run and pass. I think there line now has more confidence and they continue to improve as players and a team. To beat Beechwood they must be perfect. :thumb:
  7. Biggest game of the season fo both teams, this will be a good one. :fire:
  8. They beat Holmes which Paris could not do, comparing a 0-5 1A team to a 1-4 5A team is not even close to the same thing.
  9. Keith Searcy, Dayton, he plays middle linebcker and left guard. He can deliver a blow, I have lost count of how many pancakes he has. :thumb:
  10. Paris, 0-5 ? that would be the third. :thumb:
  11. You think Ludlow can beat Lloyd and not Brossart ? Wow.
  12. Dayton does not play Bracken and has yet to play Brossart, you can not compare Lloyd to Bracken after the way they played against Beechwood, Dayton beat Lynn Camp so I dont get that one either.
  13. Wow, come on when is the last time you remember Dayton getting beat this badly? Dayton is a much more rounded team and have played a much harder season so far. Dayton all the way. :fire:
  14. Nobody on that team runs a 4.4, not many teams in the state have that speed. Chris Young and Richard Turner are fast, and real hard to tackle in open feild or close up. You cant forget about Dustin Trimnell or Joe Wynn, Joe is a great speed back and Dustin has showed his skills on the field. Alex Brummett and Micheal Richardson have plenty of power and decent speed. :ylsuper:
  15. 67 is away from the play because he blocks his man so well they dont get a chance to go down field. I dont see 75 getting what i would call domination.
  16. Well you will be watching a very good game won by Daytons powerful offensive line.:ylsuper:
  17. I take it you play football for Bellvue, interesting. I wouldn't take him to lightly though as well as Daytons whole line. I think they will have a big game and you trying to down play a players skill gives Dayton the edge.
  18. IMO depends if which team comes to play. If they both come ready i say Lloyd, but Lloyd is coming off a huge loss to Dayton so i think they will be stuck on that fact and lose in a close one. Lloyd 21 Holycross 24 (feild goal)
  19. Sad to hear, hope he comes back soon for the teams sake.
  20. Seems pretty close to what should happen, at least to me. :thumb:
  21. Sorry didn't see it, I have made the exact same mistake, and was corrected also.
  22. There quarterback did quit, with 9 turnovers in one game, I think he would have lost the job regardless. They are actually better off with the new QB.
