  1. Adam is a tough physical kid that has gained invaluable expierence playing with one of the top lines in the state. Believe me he is not flying under the radar of anyone, except maybe Ryan! Had a chance to meet Adam and his family at a Bearcat Jr Day event a couple of months ago, Adam has the character, talent and size to take this game where he chooses!
  2. As it looks your boys bring quite a team back this year as well. I wish you all the luck throuhout the season, and maybe we can dance on the carpet together one more time!!!!:dancingpa
  3. Those awards were all garnered last year as a junior. This year he has attained first team O-line honors at the Scout.com/Underarmour combine, Cincinnati. He has also recieved an offer from Div 1 Central Michigan University of the Mac 10.
  4. Yes, Purdue has an eye on Teipel and Mainello. They both visited Tenn back in March. Both going to Uks camp Fri and Tenn on Sat. Teipel is an extrodinary athelete, and it would surprise me if he did not get offers from every school he visits!
  5. It would be a shame if the program folded. They hired the wrong guy to begin with. Could be a nice stepping stone for a former Beechwood Coach who has the tools to start and keep a program going!
  6. You are correct sir! As far as the best, 1A, yes,but I cant help remember those other "birds" you know, the blue ones!!!
  7. Dom currently holds a offer with MAC 10 Champs, Central Michigan University, and YES that is a D-1 school and YES, Rash knows what he is doing, and I doubt he has ever regreted anything that he has made public as he is a calculating man who does not care about the opinions of nay sayers such as yourself. Dominic had set no preference to which school he attended, if you read his interview at scout.com, he said he was waiting for all offers to come in and see which suited him.
  8. no injuries at present time to starters, Mainello had a shoulder issue that has been handled, Joe goetz is the only one I can think of that is not up to speed. Now they lost a ton to graduation.
  9. Dominic Mainello DE Beechwood, all state hm. enquirer all star first team, all district first team, and hes a better O-lineman!
  10. Read your post that starts " this wasnt someone else"
  11. I think your speaking of Drew Davis. He was a sr. last year and will de playing for the Lou Cards this year
  12. Yes I saw that but it didnt show me any game footage, as you know my boy worked out with him early in the spring, and said he has skills. Heres what I wonder, with just mop up time, is he riding his name to the dance? Like I said never saw the kid play a down, but , what a team to cut your teeth with!
  13. Has Tony ever actually played a down on varsity, Im not trying to be a wise guy, But I've never seen a stat, or heard a story.
  14. Elliot had the speed thats for sure, won the Tigers many games on his wheels alone! Howeveer his short comming was reading the d, or going to the proper reciever. Dont know who it will be, Ive heard last years frosh QB,last years #2 Rigdon, Ive even heard Daniels or Slusher. IMO I would let the frosh run with it, has the best speed of the bunch and throws well. They have the line to protect him so he can take the time he will need, and the horses behind him to take the pressure off. Put him in this year and this question does not come up for the two years following.
  15. Well I am glad we got that Tat thing handled,I went down to the field the other day just to see for myself, and you were right, it looked like a biker convention tats everywhere! Nose Piercings and bolts and rings in places I cant mention!!! nees1212 get a grip or a pair of glasses or both for that matter, the boys are void of ink.
  16. Again this year there will be no team in better shape to start and end the season, Rash has had them pushing hard since Jan. As far as personnel this year they wil be counting on a couple of "old" horses to pull them along. Nieko Tiepel will be handling the majority of the runs this year. His determanation and size will do well for the tigers, has chance at NKY rushing title. Brady Slusher has proven himself the past two years with outstanding play on D and clutch catches as the teams #1 tight end, he will be the difference come play off time. Dominic Mainello comes to the Tigers bigger stronger and faster than last year made "All Combine" first team in a rescent UnderArmour/Scout .com event at Taft. to add to All State hm, All District, and Enquirer All Star honors on both D and O line, he should reek havoc at all levels this year. Joe Daniels and Alex Downton bring the sure hands and tough Defensive play that are bringing looks from the next level.
  17. Again your "pride" for the Dayton program allows you to sugar coat thier performance and lack of the same, dont get me wrong I appreciate a loyal fan and that you are sir. However, for what the Dayton boys accomplished last year, beating bigger and better programs "consistantly!!!" how can they be beaten by a name. Is that not a lack of belief in thier program, ergo PRIDE?
  18. Granted they were out manned, but they gave up after the first series, twice! its unfortunate that they have to play the tigers year in and year out but at least try.
  19. Will someone please tell the coach that early conditioning wont hurt the fellas! I have watched them intently, and year in and year out they dont seem to be in shape untill mid October. Prime example, there is no way that Beechwood should have won that first game! The entire defense had thier tounges dragging the ground at the end of the first half. The Tigers pounced, the forsight of Coach Rash, to have his boys in mid season shape from the get go payed off.
  20. The first thing for Deaton to address is the "heart". Last years team and many of the previous teams had good talent, but put them in a situation that they have to dig deep and they give up. The chance to beat Beechwood last year, twice, should have been insentive enough to take there game to the next level. I dont want to hear about the one drive, the fan base seemed to cherish this past year, just look at the game, fell apart after they were scored on by Elliot. Come on Deaton, your gonna have a young team. Teach them what counts, pride.
  21. This is trajic, it seems every year for one reason or another we lose a member of our football family, and every year you wonder why, they are so young and vibrant and set an example for all of us. Please except my heart and soul as I give it to this young man and his family. To the Bluebirds, take all the good and bad that has happened to you this season and gain strength from it, you know God and a young man named Mitch will get you through this!
